Can't really get on Reeves considering he was the only reason we were in the game for the most part, but his baseline 3 that hit the side of the backboard can be added to that list.
He was waving like crazy to get out of the game. He was struggling. Why, Cal?

You are correct about his conditioning. His body reminds me of a guard we had a couple years ago whose body certainly didn't look like well-conditioned athlete.
Yeah but you are taught to never shoot a bad pass and that pass from Dilly was trash. Reeves could've just attacked the wide open baseline--but he fired.
I can't stand watching Tre Mitchell and know his stat line and still think he sucked.
And for that to be Cal's offensive plan (if he had one) is crazy. Mitchell is so slow and so weak.
Tre has got to be smoking some weed before games. Dude acts high. The rebound after the free throw was an all timer.
I think at that point we were pressing . Easy to do that in a Cal offense where you rarely get a great look
No one was playing worse than Tre Mitchell over the last month. And no one shot worse than him. And there he was starting and playing 31 minutes. Completely disrupted our offense. Got dominated by his man on defense. Negated what Thiero adds on both ends (offensive rebounds, putback slams, baseline cuts, drive and dish, etc.).

I'm sick and tired of the overrated small forwards that Cal recruits. His recent track record with them have been sorry.
That's what happens when guys don't give 2 f***s about the game. It's on him, the entire bench---and they were very fortunate that didn't result in more points-but Mitchell was moving like an old washed up Rec league player. It was coaching malpractice to have him in the game at PF spot.
When he got sprayed like a porn star with UK up 2 and having some momentum it was beyond sickening--hand down--lets a guy shoot right in his face and then plodded his old ass back up the court. The fake hustle dive to commit a foul when he had no chance of getting the ball was really lame as well. At least I know he's gone from Lexington. Can't watch him.
Possibly. Not sure that it was the case with Fletcher and The Dragon. What did either one of them do here after? Edwards may be different in time and showed more glimpses than those 2 did.
There must have been people who wrote scouting reports and those who "evaluated talent". People, go look at the scouting reports. They were spot on about Edwards. Everything you saw in tonight's game was talked about in the scouting reports. Maybe coaches need to start reading scouting reports and not ranking services. Wait......only one coach doesn't do that.
To be fair Fletcher has torn his ACL twice but I don’t think he was ever looked at as great though. I was thinking more of Edwards, Boston and , Whitney.
Whitney decision was just stupid though . He should have at least transferred to another school . It’s mind boggling the kind of advice these adults are giving the kids .
Just look at the kid. His physical shape has gotten worse as the years gone. Weak ass arms. No definition whatsoever. Huge disappointment. But that goes back to Calipari and his coddling. Edwards under a real coach couldve had an entirely different season I think.
I get that but it’s easier to expect a top 50 player to not pan out .

He's still got the skills but he's gotten a little on the big side to be guarding guards. All he needs to do is
to improve his shooting a bit(and the form if fine) and learn to use some of that 40" vertical when he attacks
the rim instead of jumping forward with the ball out in front for the easy block.
Not for every player rated that high. Many in that range like SGA, Shai etc have all succeeded here and plenty more at other schools. The ones who don't pant out can be for a variety of reasons from poor coaching, attitudes, injuries and perhaps being overrated all might have something to do it.

I might be alone, but I think they really did miss on Keshad Johnson last portal season. Much better defender than Tre and has shot pretty well this year from deep for Arizona. Has only ever played on legit teams too.
Mitchell should have played the 5 tonight. When I heard he was starting I was as excited. I thought we were going small with, matching their size. But instead Cal went with the 21 feet of players getting pushed around like a rag doll!
Hopefully he goes pro so he won't suck it up here anymore. HE IS AWFUL.

Just think of all the boneheaded plays we made tonight. Mitchell tosses a live ball to the ref standing out of bounds, Edwards gets stuffed by the rim, Dillingham tries some kind of whirly trick shot and shoots an airball in the last 5 minutes, then Sheppard trumps them all with a trifecta of terrible, inexplicable pass out of bounds, fouls on a three, then takes an awful shot with no penetration all in the last three minutes.
