Durkin likely to Michigan but Harbaugh having mixed success

Read that the Michigan website's online directory is now showing an official email address for DJ Durkin. It sounds like Durkin may be their new DC after Haurbaugh reportedly struck out with Lance Anderson (Stanford's current DC). Harbaugh also has reportedly struck out with Coach Marrow & Stanford's current Strength Coach, Shannon Turley, fwiw.

The Durkin development probably doesn't effect UK very much since a Special Teams Coordinator position is likely under Durkins pay grade. Even so, it looks like we can now confidently assume that Durkin is not going to be a candidate for UK's Special Teams position. As for me, I'm still hoping for Ron Zook!! Or Stoops may be waiting for an even bigger fish... Possibly one that might become available if certain things happen... Cough Oklahoma cough.

I think the staff needs some older more experience in the staff right now. Would love to see Zook on board. Excellent recruiter and has been around the block as a HC and assistant that could help Stoops in other areas other than just ST. Get 5 good years out of him and I call it a success.

Zook might be helpful trying to reach into Illinois for talent, and could surely handle ST.

Would take ZOok in a heartbeat but don't believe he would come back to college without it being as a coordinator right now based on a couple of articles I've read about him with the saints.
