I've seen recent mocks predicting anywhere from #8 Falcons to the top of the 2nd rd. The vast majority have him going somewhere in the middle of the 1st.
The biggest wildcard is team fit.
-Fowler is the most NFL "all-around" ready......got athleticism, power, technique, flexibility. Can play 4-3 DE, but is likely a very flexible jack-back in a 3-4.
-Gregory is one of the best pass rushers, but isn't quite to Bud's or Fowler's coverage or run-stop ability. He's a little slighter than Fowler and Bud too. Likely a pure 3-4 jack-back. And will the recent marijuana bust cause him to fall?
-Beasley may struggle as a DE, but should do great as a 3-4 OLB or versatile jack-back.
-Bud - like a more raw version of Fowler. Can play 4-3 DE, but can easily play as a 3-4 jack-back. Run-stop and coverage skills are pretty decent right now, but needs to refine pass rush techniques.
I know most analysts put these guys in order from 1-5, but they really are trying to order guys who all have varying skill sets. Bud could easily be one of the first gone.....or he could stick around for a while. Just depends on what team fits are trying to be fulfilled.
