DOWN GOES DUKE

No the guy had his arms wrapped around him boxing out. That was a play-on moment. This is why I hate basketball at times. You can mug and shit on an inbounds play but you call that?

Basketball is a game where you have no idea what a ref is going to do because they change their mind all the time.
Try watching with your eyes open. Flagg had his arm and went over the back. Unless you have dook leanings, that’s an obvious foul all day every day.

Yep he definitely hooked him.

It just should’ve been Houston ball with the chance to make a shot to win the game instead of giving them the lead off of that ridiculous call.
I don’t have a problem with the call.
However, since you are so sure it was not a foul and are all over the refs, where is your post about Flagg hooking Roberts on the spin move middle when he missed the game winner? Did you think that was an offensive foul that was missed? I sure do.

You’re replying to me saying it was a hook. The point is that didn’t give Duke points. That call gave Houston points.

Monday morning bump! Just too awesome to let it go away so soon! :) Dook LOST! They collapsed and their coach turned into Calipari as the game got tight. So glad they're gone.

Yeah that was crazy but the refs gave Houston the game with that soft ass over the back call.
and tried to give it to Duke when they let Flagg hook the defender without calling an offensive foul. It was good for humanity that he still missed his fadeaway jumper.

I'm getting really tired of hearing about what was, at worst, a ticky-tack call against Duke, as they use that to somehow excuse the last 2 minutes of giving the game away.

We want to talk about game-altering calls?

I am not a “refs” guy. Was it a bad call? Sure but F all of that. Hit free throws, get open and get the damn ball in. Jon sh*t the bed and the players too. And to be honest, UK, KU, Clemson, almost Arizona and this game was a trend. This team was terrible in late close game situations. There was no Tyus Jones on this team. I am pissed.

I thought Tyrese Proctor was starting to actually prove to be the guy Duke fans claimed hed be, back 2 years ago. He was shooting great this tournament, but then he just collapsed.

I think Dukes buggest problem now is that Scheyer just probably isn't the best guy. Maybe he will be a great coach eventually, maybe he'd be fine at a smaller p5 program.. but Duke is spending more than anyone for their team.. their coach needs to reflect that. Similarly, I expect Kentucky to do it's best to have a top5 coach, and I think thats what Duke should also be striving for.

He seems to be the weak link for Duke at the moment. Someone here had a great point. Imagine switching coaches and Pope had that roster.. sheesh. And if Scheyer had Kentuckys roster he misses the tournament completely.

I am not ready to go that far. Jon is young and has appeared to learn and get better each year. He put a very good team together with defined roles. That in of itself is a skill. I am nowhere near the point that I think Jon won’t win a championship at Duke. Things are going well. The standards are high but in terms of THIS game and a few others, I call it how i see it, but it’s not close to being an indictment on the program. If Pope was the coach at Duke, no I am not sure Duke wins it all.

How about the kicked ball from nipple head?
