DOWN GOES DUKE

In Dook’s 4 losses this year (which were just a handful of times Jon had to actually coach), Scheyer went Flagg ISO to try to win. What we learned each time:
  • Flagg is a heck of a talent, but not a closer.
  • Scheyer Is a heck of a recruiter, but not a closer.
Also, how the heck does a 7’2” projected 1st round pick with a 9’8” reach play 21 minutes and have ZERO rebounds (especially with the amount of bricks HOU threw up in the 1st half)?

Yeah Maluach had an awful game. Zero rebounds? How is that even possible for his size to not at least have 1 or 2.

Id check that guys bank account lolol.

Suck it.

WKY HATES Duke for more than just basketball (not that we needed another reason). Its founder about crippled the Pennyrile with its tobacco monopoly and forcing farmers to sell tobacco at a loss.

That entire university can suck a railroad spike.
OT: my great-grandfather from Cynthiana led the coalition of tobacco farmers from multiple states that eventually broke the monopoly of The American Tobacco Co.

1 basket in the last 10:30 (loved it) I bet you Clayton jr does not have that problem. The kid is a winner, but we will found out Monday.

He had the other guys left arm held down. Nothing was given to Houston.
No the guy had his arms wrapped around him boxing out. That was a play-on moment. This is why I hate basketball at times. You can mug and shit on an inbounds play but you call that?

Basketball is a game where you have no idea what a ref is going to do because they change their mind all the time.

How about the obvious hook the refs let Flagg get away with on his missed shot? I didn't see a complaint from you about that non-call.
Yep he definitely hooked him.

It just should’ve been Houston ball with the chance to make a shot to win the game instead of giving them the lead off of that ridiculous call.

I thought ian eagle was consistent during the melt down. Rafterry sounded sad and grant hill wasn't talking at all.
Grant went full Clark Kellogg in the '11 UK win over Ohio State. LOL

Raftery is great when he's on his own-the second Hill gets in that Booth, it's like Raftery forgets that Sean McManus no longer runs CBS Sports and he can actually not have to blow Duke every other word. If you want to have some fun-invite some friends over tomorrow, line up shots and everyone fire away the second Raftery references Grant Hill's playing career. It's actually borderline insane. It'll happen a minimum of 10x EACH HALF. It's ****ing weird. You have to pay attention though because it'll be during a replay and you'll get some vague reference like "There's a massive block by Tugler" and Raftery goes "Reminds me of a certain guy next to me". "What a 3pt shot by Clayton"--"You couldn't do that at Duke could you Grant? But you did everything else" and the ****ing shit goes on and on to the point the Production Truck literally has to be either cringing/laughing or wondering how much longer they need to keep Raftery on the call.

Down double digits late in 2nd half I just went to bed. Didn’t want to see all of the alerts popping on my phone when the game ended. I wake up to Christmas F’n morning and I’m skipping around the house waking everyone up to tell them my amazing news. If Duke keeps wasting talent we can only hope it has some effect in recruiting but even that may not be enough.

Soft ass over-the-back call 🤣 🤣 🤣

It was a foul. He fouled him. A foul is a foul. Refs can't ignore it just because fans want their favorite team to win.

This. Is. A. Foul.

How many D-1 college basketball games have been played? A million? 2?

How many times in the history of college basketball did a player stomp on another player's chest and not get kicked out of the game.

So, yes, DUCK FUKE running. The pass and shot should have never happened.

I’m going to point out something that made me giddy. When Sion couldn’t get the ball in and he called time out the camera went to Scheyer he said we gotta get open 3 times. He’s nowhere close to K and imo never will be. We have seen firsthand what recruiting battles get you when you have coaching deficiencies. So many times the most talented team doesn’t win and so many things can contribute to that but having a coach fail in end game situations is a lot to overcome. We have all complained many times over Stoops/Cal stall ball with a lead. I’ll never understand how you go in with a game plan and it works for 3/4 of a game as a lead increases and then lets pack it in and hold on guys.
