Does anyone else thinks Jaxson Robinson plays better when running the point?

He has no desire to play point and has said so. He does so for the team when he needs to and that's fine, but he never wants to be the full time PG. He just does what Pope asks of him the best he can. If he had OO or Butler's bulldog mentality he'd be incredible.

He and our team are next level when he’s at the point. If this is his mentality he’s not gonna make it as a pro.

He wouldn't last a day at point in the NBA. His handles are nowhere near good enough. It's amazing how well he can play it for us at UK. Auburn would have a field day with him at point. But he is more engaged and scores more when running point.

His desire to play pg isnt’t the point of my post . His performance at pg is what I’m referring to.

His ability to play the point stresses the defense because now there are 4 players on the floor that can score from anywhere. Those kind of teams always gave us trouble when Cal was here even with superior athleticism we couldn’t guard teams with good shooters all over the floor. A good example of his effectiveness is against UT, his defense on Ziegler and his height out front enabled him to easily shoot over the defenders.

That’s what everybody said about Kyle Anderson at 6’9 - 230lbs yet he has been in the league as a high level PG for 11 years.

Well we will play Auburn.
This is not a matter of fact.
"I belive" makes the auburn sentence better.
I believe JR will be fine.

Wouldn't call him high level and he was a pg for pretty much his entire career. Also his handles are vastly superior to Jax

Funny part of most of this is that Robinson didn't play point the last 10 minutes of the game against UT Amari did
The beauty of Pope's offense is that it does not require a typical point guard. Since the offense starts with a big making a handoff the big can bring the ball up the court and a wing can take the handoff. Your point just needs to be able to guard the other team's point guard.

Oh he absolutely does. He hates physicality and pgs typically dont play defense like that. UT figured that out towards the end especially when they saw the refs swallowing their whistles.

How would you know? He ran point in 1 game and is sparingly in the rest. No he plays his best at SG running off screens which is why Pope chose to let the bigs bring the ball up last game so Robinson could stay where he’s statistically his best.
