My first thought is to lash out, because BBN is not one collective hive mind, so who are you to address us as such? But then....we DO have a lot of obnoxious fans. I am no fan of Jay but I took the Jay Williams video to be a little more “yeah you guys earned it but the big corporations aren’t interested in an other Rudy story”. To me he kinda stuck his neck out to congratulate us and spilled some facts.

JMHO...... I think the talking heads at ESPN are very upset that Kentucky basketball is back. They all wanted so bad for Cal to stay another 10-20 years in hopes of Kentucky not being relevant. And that’s where they are wrong.

1) it isn’t a Rudy story. It’s the greatest tradition in college basketball once agains showing that it doesn’t matter who is at the helm, this is still Kentucky. They are bitter it was at the expense of the media darling and it’s espn running cover for why they didn’t have a UK postgame script ready and still had to run nothing but Flagg and Duke highlights.

2) saying big corporations aren’t interested in Kentucky when they know good and well that the biggest story lines and views/hits almost always center around Kentucky basketball. It has the largest following in CBB…. So they have 2 options for views. Lead w us…or write hit pieces to stoke the fire and get views by pissing off the fanbase bc they know it’ll trend if the UK base gets fired up.

3) ESPN is no longer subjective college basketball coverage. It’s UConn and Duke alumn running a national version of KSR while pretending to be subjective on college basketball. At least their football coverage isn’t just a bunch of Bama and OSU ex players

4) Dick V is just an “old guard” coaches shill similar to Greenberg that would rather had seen us fail to prove that Cal was still the right fit here

Cal dragged our program through the mud and then THEY (Williams and Vitale among others) made a big fuss about how we were supposedly falsely accusing Cal and not appreciating his genius.

Now we're celebrating a little the fact that:

1 ---- Cal is not our problem anymore
2---- The whole world can see that it was never us falsely accusing Calipari, it was Williams and Vitale's crowd falsely accusing us.

Why shouldn't we celebrate a little bit?

Who cares what those idiots are saying, Jay Williams is so bias when it comes to Duke it is not funny, Vitale has lost his mind a few years ago. As far as Cal goes, why some obsess about him I will never know, Cal is gone be thankful and let the Hogs worry about Cal.
