Did Reed Sheppard lose his “Lifetime Y” card?

Honestly, why would Reed ever be the Y? I can't even remember what he accomplished here (probably because it wasn't much), and he's no closer to being a UK legend than I am. His dad, on the other hand...
I wouldn't miss seeing him around UK basketball again. He can go to Cal U.
Honestly, I never really got the Reed mythologizing. People put him up there with some big names in our history. He’s even on the bittersweet symphony video now for some reason.
At the end of the day, he was a one and done that had a really nice personal season but won nothing of note for UK.

He accomplished NOTHING here. Was a good 3-pt shooter who just stood around begging for the ball, and was lazy on defense. He just about mailed it in for the first round loss.
He’s from here and from the mountains so I think everyone felt a little closer to Reed and there was a thousand topics on here asking why didn’t have a uk offer until he finally did. It’s also been said his dad wasn’t a cal fan then he was popes roommate in ‘96 so Reed wearing an Arkansas shirt definitely was hard to take. He might want to stay away from rupp for a long while cause it wasn’t that time for him to do that, he could have worn a cal shirt not a hog one.
I’ll always remember his 3 points in his last 60 minutes of his UK post season career. What a legend!!
I have a feeling Reed hasn't had any intention on coming back to Rupp, before the stunt he pulled today.

He could have chosen to wear no colors. He could have chosen to wear nothing Arkansas or Kentucky. He CHOSE to wear Arkansas. So to me, he's chosen. And yea, he's not welcome anywhere near our program again.

This comment makes it even worse. To think this game was something to make a "joke" about after the way his OWN one season here ended with Cal as the coach is EXTREMELY short-sighted!!!
The fans of UK buy a WHOLE LOT of former players gear when they make it to the next level, especially WHEN someone from Kentucky makes it!!! Just not a smart business move even if he didn't really care what the UK fans thought. Which is still mind boggling to me considering Cal was FORCED to actually recruit him and his dad was Coach Pope's room mate while they were at UK.

I knew he had love from Cal and I can’t blame him because we the fans never had a personal relationship with Cal so we look at it different .
But Reed has to read the room and know it would be a bad look .
I expect Reed to be supportive of his coach. But this was tone deaf. Should have sat this one out. But at the VERY least, could he have not reversed it? Worn a UK shirt and arky shorts?
It’s pretty bad now that UK lost the game. I can’t imagine what was going through his head other than “there’s no way UK loses this game”. Massive backfire on his part. Why would you ever where another school across your chest???
Weird. Coach or not, he has no connection to Arkansas. You’d think Jeff and Stacey would have talked more sense into him. He can support and still feel fondness for cal without repping a program he has no affiliation with
None of these guys give 2 shits what UK fans think, never have. Mercenaries go where the money is.
Pope will turn the other cheek for Jeff, but Jeff and Stacey aren't going to like answering questions or hearing comments from fans for a few months. And of course since its their son, they are going to get irritated with UK fans going after him/them.

I'm not even certain Reed would have played for UK if it weren't for the fans and families connection. Cal wasn't exactly big on recruiting Kentucky boys that didn't fit his M.O., talent aside

“He’s my coach”, ok well he’s also the coach that had to pressured to offer you the scholarship as well. I get being loyal etc but who knew brownies were the key to the kids soul……for life. Cal thought he was bigger than the program and these former players seem to help stroke that ego of his with stunts like this.
Kentucky's loss amplified the damage of that picture. The Prodigal Son's plan to take that picture was as bad as Kentucky's defensive plan for the game. That decision will haunt him as much as this loss will haunt UK's fans.
Definitely made a bad decision. If someone was in his ear about this one, he needs to distance himself from that fool.
I believe someone said Stacy has been wearing Arkansas gear as well. Not on game day I guess but still. And we all know who wears the pants in that family.
Reed was my favorite player of all time. Hes dead to me now.
He can support his coach when he is coaching any other team but to do so against the school you played for and rooted for your whole tells you you are tone deaf to the passion of UK basketball. Bad move!!
I don’t understand how so many people came to defend Cal. Did they really think he needed protection? Do they feel he is that soft?
He lost his Kentuckian card. Dude isn’t even welcome in his home.
