Diallo....better overall player and experience is mostly an overrated quality. You want the best players point blank period.
I'll put you on mute for two days then. Thanks for the warning.Yes I will. And the entire board will suffer me for two full days.

I prefer the one we get.a lot of people are starting to think it's one or the other. Which one would you prefer and what do they bring to the table that the other doesn't?
Johnson is probably a better shooter right now and Diallo more athletic. Do they both start at the 2G or do they share time there with Knox?
I agree with this, it is clear Diallo wants to go and I am not sure in a one year scenario he will be better than Johnson. Obviously he is the better athlete but as many have stated this team needs shooters bad.I'm leaning towards Johnson. Diallo wants out, I think that's clear at this point. I don't want a kid to feel "forced" to be here. It could be bad for both parties.
I'm half kidding when I ask this, but how do we know Diallo will for sure play a full year next season? He sat out this past year, didn't get the feedback he wanted from the NBA.. so now he's going to possibly risk injury and exposure (not the good kind) for a 2nd year? What stops this kid from going off for 30/8/5/3 one night and saying "Yep, that'll do.."?
He has two days left, he's looking for any reason to not play college ball. Go grab Johnson now, and maybe avoid another Bolden scenario..

Yeah, I think everybody needs to realize that the Bamba and Diallo we see next year will prob not be close to what they are in 5 years, thus we see teams with experienced players beat us every year even though we have superior talent. It would be nice to see Johnson, Wenyen and SKJ start and have some experience in our lineup. You bring up a good point something that I thought of with the Bamba/Richards debate. We forget that we only have these kids for 1 year. It really comes down to which guy can get up to speed quick enough and contribute to the team in just 6-7 months.
Diallo is the better pro-prospect. He's the better talent, but you can't be certain he "gets it" in time for March. And it's similar to Bamba and Richards. I can't say for sure that Diallo and Bamba will give the team more for just a single year. A lot goes into that. Mentality, confidence, patience.
I don't know that we can say Diallo is the better overall player. He is the better overall prospect, meaning in the long term he will be better. But will he be better next year? We don't know. I think it would be close. Johnson is hands down the better shooter, and that is something we are lacking. Diallo is very likely the better defender, which Cal emphasizes.
I think you have that backwardsExcept SKJ has very little experience and Wenyen even less.
I was looking at TJ's twitter and this guy Andrew Carter said he talked to Cam today and he really wants to go to UNC if the one year wait is lifted.WTF?Where did this love for UNC come from.So I guess he might get stuck with UK.It kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
I think you have that backwards
I think he scored 26 on UNC last year so you know that impressed Roy and he is going all in to get him.Diallo.I don't get this obsession Cam has developed for UNC.They weren't on his list,he knew he would have to sit out a season but now it's his top choice before he even visits and he's making a stink about sitting out a year.Something just seems weird about it.I can understand Diallo wanting to make big money for him and his family in the NBA.But Cam wanting the cheaters so bad over UK is just stupid IMO.
