Not sure about all of you but I am a fan of the University of Kentucky not the University of NBA draft picks....... I am more interested in UK winning titles not how many draft picks that we have in the league.........
Agree with you.

Get ready for the 1/2 and done jokes and hit pieces.
Cal will catch a lot of heat from our fans from this one if he stays in the draft, probably deservedly so. Not a good look with this one.
Coach cal tweeting he has gotten so much better in the four months he has been with us. Then why the hell did you not play him? We needed that type of player all year. If he goes pro for good, this will be Coach Cals biggest mess up as a coach.
Only a dumbass would think Cal looks bad for this.
EVERY team would have taken him.
It is absolutely STUPID to tell the #1 SG and your top guard recruit -
"No we won't accept your commitment and allow you to come early because you might enter the draft without ever playing a game"

I agree that every other team would have taken him, but my every other team had the annual roster turnover and reliance on freshmen that we do. The risk/reward is different for us than it is for just about any other team out there in a situation like this.
Can't disagree on the briscoe part.It is frustrating, but the kid wanted to come and practice, most likely not expose himself to the pros after what his HS coach said.
He and Cal had an agreement, can't change and force the kid to play.
I guess he realized he is better than Briscoe and others and thinks if they can do it he has a shot.
Well if he comes back that's great and if he doesn't why did he come here and leave before he played one season. It's bad enough to see several leave every year but I don't want anybody to come here and leave before they play one minute. If it's true it could have knocked Kentucky out of getting somebody who wanted to play here that would at least stayed one year.
No of course not, but it's short-sighted not to expect a little backlash when it doesn't pan out. Happy for the kid, but as I said before, "players first" implies that they ACTUALLY played. So you would have told him no, he can't come early?
Jesus Christ dude don't talk shit about me. Anyway this has zero impact on my life, but I'm still a UK fan and sports are one of the things I look forward to and it helps relieve stress to follow sports. My only other teams are UK football and the Cincinnati pro teams so yeah I would like for at least one of my teams to be good to help me escape the stress in my life from time to time. Again sports aren't the only thing I use to relieve stress but still. It's a basketball game. Why you people let this type of thing stress you out is beyond me. This has zero impact on any intelligent, sane, normal fans' lives. Just IMO.

I was under the impression he was on scholarship to play basketball. If I'm not mistaken, I seem to recall that the coaches approached Diallo during the season once about playing.
He declined.
What else could Cal do?
You mean after our third Final Four in four years and our second title game in three.Absolutely ridiculous and bullchit. If he ends up staying in the draft then I honestly won't care if Cal leaves anymore. This got old after about year #5 and it's crap now.

I agree. His tweet sure sounded like a farewell.I do believe he stays in the draft.

How fun was tubby and gilespie? Dont be a babyI'm with you.
It's definitely getting less and less fun each passing year.
