Some of the "kids" who come in give the appearance of being closer to 30 years old than 20. Deuce's boyish demeanor makes him seem 16, 17 tops. Not a knock; he comes across as intelligent and refreshingly genuine, a lot like his new O.C. Maybe some fresh air in the Bluegrass is just what he needs. This is the kinda young man you want on your team. Hope it works out for him and he gets his time to shine here. Impressive press conference. Kid doesn't look like he rattles easy.
Given the history of the last five years, QB might be the position for which I have the most hope for a transfer. Heisman's and national trophies have been handed to transfer QB's several times the last few years, and I had hardly heard the names of most of the players who tranferred.I really do hope good things for this kid in Lexington
Not sure I trust that your staff could pick a good quarterback.Very good kid-- he was in our program at Iowa 2 years. Seemed well liked by teammates. After he committed to Iowa in high school he was a strong leader trying to get other recruits to follow him to Iowa City. Too bad it didn't work out for him here.
Can he play at Kentucky? No idea. He barely saw the field at Iowa and apparently he didn't feel he would here soon and he left. I really do hope good things for this kid in Lexington
Same guys/staff (Kirk Ferentz, Ken O'Keefe) "picked" Heisman runner up Brad Banks at one point and Drew Tate was a pretty damn good QB at Iowa, as was Ricky Stanzi. Not sure I trust that your staff could pick a good quarterback.
Touché.Same guys/staff (Kirk Ferentz, Ken O'Keefe) "picked" Heisman runner up Brad Banks at one point and Drew Tate was a pretty damn good QB at Iowa, as was Ricky Stanzi.
The QB play right now is at a low level talent-wise. Nobody debating that. Guessing UK has the same issue at a position or two also. As far as Duece, all we know is he didn't beat the top two guys out this past year and not fallen to #4 on the depth chart.
