Games announced by Steve Lappas are nearly unwatchable. Where’s the “mute” button!!

He used to not be so bad, but he really has turned up the annoying meter this year!!
I love Lappas. Think he and Catalon do a fantastic job of calling the game and Lappas is actually one of the broadcasters who will call out coaches/players during a game for playing like dog****. Too often everyone is sucking them off and Lappas actually knows the players/coaches/what they are trying to do and will point it out. Catalon and he actually do CBB games during the year too. A nice reward for people who work unlike that Duke Mafia member (Grant Hill) who gets rewarded for doing about 6 games a year prior to the Tournament (up from his 3 Big Ten Games prior to this year)
Here's my complaint. DEAR SEC:
When teams with 0 skill continue to get rewarded by the conference for mugging/beating up people and calling them "tough"--notice how Houston has guards/players who actually can make a shot. They've adapted and found some shot making instead of trying to play like Rick Barnes has his entire career. They are a joke. Teams like this need to be punished during the year and not allowed to play a style that isn't basketball.

Lappas is horrible. At the end of the Purdue Houston game he was absolutely clueless about the situation at hand. There was less than a second left and Houston had like three more fouls to give before Purdue would have been in the bonus and there was an exchange between the announcers like this:
Lappas: "Houston absolutely CANNOT foul here. That's the most important thing."
Catalon: "Actually, Houston has a few fouls go give before Purdue would be in the bonus."
Lappas: "Oh...well in that case Houston should absolutely foul, this game is over."
Lappas: "Houston absolutely CANNOT foul here. That's the most important thing."
Catalon: "Actually, Houston has a few fouls go give before Purdue would be in the bonus."
Lappas: "Oh...well in that case Houston should absolutely foul, this game is over."
There are good people from New York but that don’t stop you from perpetuating the stereo type about them. I just did the same thing back. How can you ask people not to perpetuate stereotypes about people from Kentucky when you do the same about other places? Tribalism is what’s killing the world. I’m from Kentuxky and know there are as many smart people here as anywhere. Just proving a point.

Nah, you got offended dude. Which proves the point. You don’t like it when people do it to you but have no problem doing it to others. Proves you’re probably not a very good guy.

Besides his annoying voice he's lost most the time. He's like you don't wanna foul here, other guy, they still have a foul to give, oh then you want to foul here🤡
