DeAndre Moore Jr., No. 2 WR in 2023 class commits to UL

But if they have signed an NIL contract, and are 18 years old, or older, a late decommit would likely mean they do not get paid . . . but the new school’s boosters can still “bid” until NSD
I wonder how that would work? If I sign a deal with you to advertise for your car dealership but then I don't go to your school... Can you not pay me? Signing LOI can't be part of NIL as I understand it. Once you make a deal with me, if I go to Bama it may legally still be that you have to pay me. Not sure how they are wording these to get around the LOI exception.

One method I've heard is requiring the kid to physically be at a certain address every few days to "check in" to earn NIL payments. No, contract doesn't say he HAS to sign with U Louisville. But won't get money if he has transferred, and can't be at a bldg on 3rd st in Louisville several times a week.

My point is that would be the very definition of pay for play which is still a no-no, if anyone ever does anything about it. Think about it, what if the school rescinds the scholarship for some reason. They can't hold the kid accountable when he isn't even on the team. No agent/lawyer would allow that.
How hard do we laugh when say things like pay-for-play is a no-no. LOL

You think Satterfield suddenly became a desirable coach and the city school where the LMPD is being investigated by DOJ the prize place to live?

There are some players getting legit NIL. Most of this, however, is simply pay-for-play.

I know. See my last post on the subject.
