De'Aaron Fox Trimming List

From there we can determine if we have a legitimate shot or as RC (Cola) Texas thinks.....Texas has him in the bag.... Thoughts?

Prior to Kentucky offering, I would have put Texas with a slight lead over KU. Now I would put Texas in a slight lead and Kansas/Kentucky even, but behind Texas. It depends on who returns and who leaves.

Kansas is out - this is a UK vs. Texas battle with UK leading at present. If Simmons commits to UK, I think Texas wins out.

Right now, I don't think we have anyone in the slot. Seems to me to be another year like last year despite Cal's guided missives.

Just kidding. We gonna be good again.

Whew! You had me going there Dave!!!

Dave if, YOU, had the choice of taking Fox or Simmons, who would you take? Thanks

Makes me feel good about the info that friend is getting from Fox's former teammate because he was adamant that Texas wouldn't be the choice for De'Aaron and this was weekend he took unofficial to Austin. If what he said is true--fully expect Fox to select UK if given the option.

Fox told Evan Daniels visits are not set up but KU and UK are the two schools he really wants to visit. I assume UK and KU are his leaders.

My guess is Kansas, Kentucky, and Louisville are his top 3 with Kentucky probably a good amount in front.

PT at the PG spot always seemed like a big issue mentioned with him. I wonder if he'll wait til the spring to see how the rosters shake out to see if Ulis and Briscoe both come back or see what happens at KU. May not matter though with how much he wanted that UK offer.

I don't see Kansas with Mason and Graham on the roster

"I don't see Kentucky with Ullis, Briscoe and Murray on the roster."

This kid is going to play whether it is at Kentucky or whether it is at KU. He's that good. Personally, don't think Selden, Greene, Svi or Mason will be back next year. I could also see Ullis, Briscoe and Murray jumping.

This is a big surprise, Smart was pushing hard.

Not a surprise at all. I'm not a UK fan and have shared info for some time regarding this recruitment and main consensus was that Texas wasn't in picture at all, that Kansas and Louisville were leading but Fox was waiting for either/both of UK/Duke to offer and if that happened, he'd likely select them. This was relayed to me in June from a friend of his former HS teammate (Keilon Price). At that time, Fox/Marques Bolden were taking unofficials to Austin, friend who is a UK fan asked Price about his recruitment in general and Price didn't know he was a UK fan, and they were just talking. So far everything has backed that info up and this info came from a coach in MN who had coached Price when he was living up there before moving to Houston. Hope for friends at this site sake it ends up as my friend was told, and Fox ends up with UK.

Damn you Kentucky. Sounds like we would have run away with this recruitment had you guys not got involved. Oh well. Hopefully we can give you guys a fight for Fox.

When Fox was in Lexington in April at EYBL he was practically lobbying for a UK offer through the media. Glad UK finally got on it.

Murray and Svi going...Selden, Briscoe maybe...Mason, Ulis, Greene staying. Bolden is a strong Kansas-lean. Maybe if it is a package deal, but package deals are discussed a lot in August and almost never in April.

So, Fox or Simmons - whoever commits first?? Tough for either one to commit with our guard heavy roster. Will both wait until the Spring to let the rosters for 2016 pan out?

UK's guys have a serious chance at jumping to the league. KU's? Not so much.

Ulis is definitely not 100% staying. He came to UK because of Cal's record for developing point guards. His stock is limited because of size but he may max his potential this year and leave, especially with a horde of insane guards coming the following year.

Ullis is vertically challenged. Briscoe is a ball dominant scoring guard, moderately rated in a weak class and is more of a two guard than a point. He's a question mark and should be interesting how his freshman year will go. Murray is a no brainer.

Selden will jump. Svi, if he doesn't jump, may go play pro in Europe. Mason has as good a chance to jump as does Briscoe or Ullis. Broadcasters spoke repeatedly about how NBA scouts loved Greene's outside shot and size and probably could have jumped if not for his late season injury.

UL sends no one to the league hardly ever, yet they have made both Fultz and Fox's lists of schools? I just don't get it

Six Cats will likely leave after this season: Ulis, Briscoe, Murray, Poythress, Labissiere, and Lee.

Not sure about KU's guys.

I've come across both Briscoe and Murray on first-round projected draft boards. The only Kansas guard I've spotted is Svi. Mason isn't jumping anywhere but the D-League. Haven't heard a peep about Greene. I doubt a guy who averaged less than 6 a game is jumping anywhere.

I see no reason to doubt you. You haven't been wrong yet.
