Day 1 games

Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt were/are all underdogs.

The SEC is expected to maybe get 1 win out of those.

Auburn only winning by 20 or so is more damning than any single other individual SEC performance.
If Gonzaga keeps it up, Georgia would end up as the most disappointing performance.

Already, the SEC is losing by against the spread by about 15 points. It will likely be more after the Georgia game. Underperformance so far. Maybe UT and/or Missouri will pick up the slack tonight.

Wonder if the nerds can upset another sec team this year. Auburn getting a very manageable path to elite 8 if so. Creighton and Yale and mcneese aren't easy per say but i don't think auburn wants to see a and m again.

Honesty, I wouldn’t get too wrapped up in that unless we see it happen with the teams that were favored to win. Texas was underdog versus Xavier. Georgia was underdog versus Gonzaga. Auburn won but didn’t cover the spread. Forget the conferences, I think the style is the thing to look at. These teams that play slow and through the post, the slug it out wrestling teams won’t do well in the tournament. The officiating is different for one thing. Also, I think that, in an environment like the NCAA Tournament the pressure is higher and it makes it even more likely for teams to become tense. The slog style can really cause you to become tense and panic if you start getting behind. The teams that want to spray and let it loose can play themselves into a rhythm faster than the slog teams. At least that’s how it feels to me

I’m good if Tennessee loses.

The fewest number of ACC teams in the field since 2013 and the #2 and #3 teams in the conference are out in the first half of the first day.

Makes you wonder, is Duke really that good?

People on here keep hoping that's the case. I guess we will see what happens.

So 7 complete duds and 1 game that didn't really represent hiw mcneese dominated pretty much all game.

Yeah I hope the night games are much better

Sec needs to step it up. A and m and Missouri need to handle their business.

Arkansas we all hope loses for the most part but Kansas has the capability to get hot and beat half this boards hero Pitino and get more all time wins. Arkansas has no shot to beat st johns IMO. Fascinating matchip tonight and on Saturday in that pod.

Mark Few is currently tied with the most consecutive sweet 16 appearances (9) since the 64-team expansion. He has led Gonzaga to the NCAA Tournament in every one of his 25 season.
