Crew was legitimately terrible. The reporter couldn't say the recruits' names, and got their states wrong. The announcers were jabbering on about craziness. Briscoe isn't a point guard. Humphries is the 6th man. Cats are struggling because Ulis is out even though he's in the game. A good team should shoot 75% from the line. All sorts of nuttiness.
Agreed on the announcers. They were truly terrible. It's like the didn't know the team and seemed like they forgot the game of Basketball at times. It was pathetic.
And not one time did he work in a YOHO YOHO a pirates life for me. How can you have a kid named YOHO and not make that at least once.
I've always liked him. It's not his fault that when he does these type of games that others working with him aren't up to par. Dave Baker is all in with Big Blue and does a great job.
He does his best. Those days of that ice storm when electricity went out for everyone but him, were not his best radio days. He was suck it up people....build fires....then his went out. And he went on a rant about how things were not being corrected swiftly enough.

there's a reason why the local guy is local and the national national... there's a reason why that sideline reporter is doing UK vs Wright State and not UK vs Duke.
I think his nickname is buzz because you have to have one in order to make it through his broadcasts
I think he sucks really, really bad and if my saying so lost him the job of calling any basketball game involving UK then I would be extremely happy. Is his nickname really Radar or is that just a joke?
Dave, no reason to blame others for your incompetencies. Sure, Joe Dean Jr is awful too but you don't see Dick Vitale's awful job bringing down Jay Bilas.
I like Dave Baker. Joe Dean Jr. is the worst. When I listen to him I feel like I'm watching one of Joe Hall's teams from the 70's.
The only thing you need to know in order to judge the basketball acumen of ol' Buzz is that he told BBN during that Madness special that Humphries' game was going to remind us all of Jamaal Magloires game.

There will never be a group of announcers that every UK fans likes. Grow up and deal with it....or cry. You get to get to choose.
LOL! Would you do a better job? Kentucky fans will forever be spoiled because of Cawood Ledford. Dave Baker is qualified. He has a long background in sports journalism and knows Kentucky's program inside out. He will never be a legend, and he isn't likely to be plucked away by a big network. But he is a Kentuckian, and a Wildcat, and he deserves far better than your insults.
I don't think Dave is the best announcer in the world, but I like him. He is a pretty good guy, and he is a lot better than JDJ. Joe said that Willis was a soph and made several other glaring errors. Dave doesn't keep you glued to your TV, but factually, he is at least fairly accurate.
Dave's not the best in the business but I can tolerate him. He does an okay job. We can't have the elite announcers every game.

I nominate Kaylee Hartung to do all the broadcasting, color commentary, sideline interviews and operate the cameras
He is a slurping cheerleader, he was working for the SEC network, he should be assigned UT, and Vandy games. Be objective !
I felt sorry for the reporter she had absoulutely no idea what she was doing where anyone was from are new recruiting lass.So little time so many mistakes.I did like Joe Dean saying string music then saying that was for the wildcat faithful.You had to be an old wildcat to understand.
