Damn, Kentucky fans are UGLY

So we got beat by QB #2 then. Is that better? He so seasoned he’d never won a game he’s appeared in until today.
He doesn't have a good record and lost his starter job. I just think it's weak that several people are throwing that out in effort to throw more shade at the team for the loss today. He's played, he's started, doesn't make things better or worse is my point.

We’ve given Stoops 10 years and $50 million

I know we’ve sucked in the past, but doesn’t mean that’s acceptable anymore. We’ve never put more money and support behind this football program like we have in the past 5 years. We deserve better than Stoops, he’s a decent recruiter and a mediocre coach.

Money, yes. Support, no.

When I bet in person anyone who would take it a 100$ dinner at Tony's that we would get at least 9 wins in the 2018 season AND beat UF, EVERYONE continued to tell me they'd be lucky to win 6 maybe 7 games and go to a decent bowl game. Said I didn't know wtf I was talking about and to fk off, but none of the mf "UK" fans I was talking to would take that fkn bet.

They all just wanted to endlessly talk sht about the program and the staff.

Didn't change after that season either. Every fkn year the asholes say the same tired as fk bullsht. Then the mental midget mfrs who said we'd be "lucky to make a bowl game" because "so and so on the team sucks" are pissed off when we don't beat teams we weren't supposed to beat, completely forgetting us beating teams we weren't supposed to beat.

People have been saying for years that we can't do sht that we've been doing. The difference is that the only people still saying it ARE OUR SHTTY FANS. Idiot mfrs saying we "sht the bed" when we are bowl eligible after losing every starter from the OL, losing our 2 starting safeties to injury, having our 3rd OL COACH and OC IN 3 YEARS, UPSET UF at their place without our best RB, ALMOST upset OM on the road, and played most of the year with a gimpy QB. Gtfoh. Bunch of done nothing mfrs talking down our program EVERY FKN chance they get

Support they say . They need to Stfu about support

You may have supported the program at times, but the people I'm talking about here have never quit bitching about Stoops and "his ceiling" for 10 years. Their idea of support is to stick a spit in someone and roast them over a poorly stacked fire

That’s just the thing, who’s replacing Levis?
C Rod? I’d bet Brown is gone too. Stoops and Marrow have put a much better pool of talent on the field than we’ve seen in years. But they are at a crossroads now imo. Where they have to adapt to NIL and the portal where unhappy players can just jump ship. Guess we’ll see.

Why not KY?

Have to replace key guys every year. Losing Sumrall and Clink definitely left a mark. Stoops has done nothing but try do whatever he feels is best to move the team forward every offseason he's been here. I don't think this offseason will be any different. We need at least one stud recruiter, we really need two IMO.

Lmao. You also missed where I didn't say I was "the dictator of the board." Guess the truth hurt too much for you to scroll on by. Yall bitch about UL fans, but act just like em sometimes. Fyi Missouri got spanked by UT. WE got spanked by UT. Vandy beat us by 4 on a late TD that we handed to them with a 15yd penalty.

If that's your definition of "spanked" I can understand where your parents went wrong. Get off JP's dork long enough to chew on some facts. JPs teams played good against good comp one game each year. So don't even try to compare his record with the last 5-6 years of Stoops. It just makes you look like a mental midget with your feelings hurt

Did anyone say anyone "gets a year off" besides you? No. But considering fks like you're doing here have btched DURING and THROUGHOUT 10 win seasons 2X in the last 6 years, MAYBE it's the fkstains that need to take a year off. It would be even better if they never took an interest in UK football again..

Since you didn't notice, it's just you and the rest of the trolls commenting tonight like they haven't all year. They don't come out until the losses come because they waller in that sht all day. Weak.ass.mfrs that live only for drama and misery. That's the company you're keeping
Man … stop typing novels. We can see you’re a dumbass after reading one sentence of your ignorance. I’ll address your latest masterpiece but you’re too dumb to deal with so hear we go …. To use ‘your’ name and ‘truth’ in the same sentence is just dumb. You wouldn’t know the truth if it bit you in the ass. If you need to know my definition of spanked I’d say your better half can explain that to you in detail. I hate to go there but only an ass would bring someone’s parents into a post like you did. At least I know who mine are. JP’s dork ? I’m sure you’ve got that covered. Me, a troll ? That would be like calling you a knowledgeable football fan. I recommend you find a dentist that’ll come to your trailer and give you a few implants so you can get off the liquid diet and a tutor to help you get that GED. You can do this skipee.

TLDR

HOW DARE YOU BE UPSET LOSING TO VANDY AND CRITICIZE STOOOOOOOPPPZZZZ.

- Rebuttal to OP

Stoops, UK, Media, KSR, NIL.
They all wanted us to buy into Kentucky Football. We was fine going to bowl games, we was fine having winning seasons. NIL deals have made some of these players close to millionaires, NFL QB, Best RB ever? Top Talented WRs. What did we do. BBN bought in MORE.

You expect the same FANS of Kentucky basketball to be rational. We are not.
They wanted the same fans to be converted over to Football fans. Well, they did. Now look at the results. Everyone is furious. I've never been a bigger fan of UK football until Stoops showed up. Now I've bought in and so have a lot of other people.

Lately I've been looking forward to UK FOOTBALL way more than basketball. Now why is that? Granted basketball has seen a few rough years since VID-19. But, it appears it's back on track.

It was C'MON root for UK Football too, be crazy about UK football too! It's Kentucky!

Well, you've got the crazy fans here and now you are looking around like ohhhhh what you guys are mad why? We are going to a bowl game?

True BBN fans want glory, we want to see Kentucky be the best.

LOSING TO VANDY AT HOME IS NOT THAT AT ALL.

This football season had lots of hype and it's been the hardest to watch in a LONG time.

Awww. You got your hopes up. They made you think better of your program and team... Got you thinking you actually cared about UK Football and they DIDNT FKN WIN every game... Well those asholes

Weeeeeeaaaaaak ass fans....

If it was up to yall, you'd put lipstick on a donkey you abused all year, and expect it to win the KY Derby, then kick the sht out of it some more if it came in just outside the money.

You say you want something, but are pissed when you get it if it doesn't exceed your expectations. It's as if there is some magic that appears if you talk down about your team and someone waves a wand somewhere and makes it better beyond all hope or reason. You don't want to do the work and have the hope because you're too fragile

I didn't say I expect UK basketball fans to be rational. They're among the least rational fans in the country. Rational fans don't burn level 5 carcinogens and stand there breathing in the fumes. They don't storm a football field before a game is over if they're rational.

Doesn't make what I'm saying any less true or any less a starting point to own it and do better.

OC hire looks like a huge mistake. OL hire looks like the 2nd bad choice in 2 years. You don't burn it all down and start over. U get better coaches

Awwww you're real sensitive. Your momma rub it too hard this time? Or did it get stuck in a button hole on your shirt? You are trying way too hard to say nothing but attempt insults.

You're exactly what I described above and that's why you can't read it. You've read blow up doll instructions longer than those posts, so try harder

I think it makes matters even worse. It’s almost like the coaches were unprepared for him to start

Outside backers didn't do their job is what it looked like to me. They penetrated too deep on several plays and gave him lanes to run in. We had become pretty decent at containing running QBs playing that way. For some reason today, they lacked that discipline.

Losing to Vandy at home, no excuse for that. IMO the defense needed to play way better and we win that game, even with the offense struggling.

A lot of people are calling for heads but really they just don't like the end result of the offense right now. Is Yenser being judge fairly with five new starters? I'm not convinced he is but practice may tell a different story. Is Stoops on board with the coaching techniques, that's the part known of us know. It may just be that these guys are behind on the learning curve, I simply can't tell. They are working on their third scheme, a coach that health issues for much of the year, two years ago. Then a coach that was rumored to be pure a**hole in his coaching style, now to this year. A another new coach with new coaching techniques, new scheme. So how do any of us know what is leading to this. If a change is needed, I'm sure it will happen not long after the last game.

Scang, again, who knows. His plays are getting guys open. We either don't have time too make the play or we miss it. Is that all on Scang? I don't think it is. My personal opinion, as long as there is not a chemistry problem on the staff, continuity is more important for next year than a new scheme.

I disagree about the defense. We scheme that way. How many times did we rush three on third and forever and play a soft zone? Why do we consistently put edge rushers on WR's in coverage. Not LB'ers like Wright, edge rushers like Weaver. Why did we leave Valentine on an island right after he got hurt only to get burned twice and lose the game? Not sure if Coach White or Stoops are making that call but I disagree with the scheme. We generate 0 pressure, never rush the passer and play some of the most vanilla schemes possible to not give up the big play. Guess what? We still give up the big plays.

As for Yenser and Scang, I just don't see development at any level. I'm not at practice, but it baffles my mind that a 5 star stud Tackle can't get run on this team when Ole Miss starts two freshman at that position. I'm 100% convinced the scheme is too complicated for our guys because it's not just getting beat, it's missed assignments. Eli Cox has consistently doubles on twists and gives up interior pressure. Horsey & Flax are regularly getting manhandled by guys who can't sniff a sack in their games against other opponents. It's baffling. What's worse, though, is that we've done little to adjust. Coen changed schemes four games in last year to account for the blocking causing issues up the middle. He had far better tackles to help, but Levis was still getting pressured from the guard position. Need Scang to make similar changes.

Stoops brought Scang in because he's a QB whisperer (allegedly) and because he was in that tree of McVay/Shanahan/Taylor etc. who run innovative offensive schemes. It's obvious we're playing a brand of football we aren't capable of, yet. The biggest issue I see here is that there isn't time for this to shake out. Who's at QB next year in this same scheme playing better than our supposed 1st round draft pick? What's our running game going to look like without Rodriguez. Does Brown go to Bama/UT? That's where we are because of the horrendous ineptitude on offense.

Truth be told, guys are open and Levis is either missing them because he appears to be a one read guy, or he's getting the jitters and tucking the ball too soon. I'd 100% be behind benching him for the year (for his health, not his performance) and running what we did with Bowden at QB but using Brown instead. We have to take advantage of the one thing we have left on offense.

As far as coach getting criticism, that's part of the nice contract. These are the players he recruited, these are the coaches he hired.

I don't think there is one fan on here that doesn't appreciate the hard work, aggressive attitude Kentucky had up until this season.

Sometimes being a players coach, which CMS definitely is...has drawbacks. In prior seasons, it may have been too many loose cannons.
This season, perhaps, just perhaps, he has been too hesitant to adjust. Too hesitant to sit some guys and let others earn stripes. Too focused on his true love....the secondary, while both lines have ranged somewhere between inept and struggling.

One thing for sure....for some unknown reason THIS crew, more than any other, has played down to competition, and mixed occasional spurts of efficiency with what has seemed to be either 'we turn it on when we want' or 'let's hurry up and get this over'..

Pride, Passion, Performance.
All have come up missing far too many times for a program that was finally, after 10 years, gaining a measure of respect and attention.

That's pretty much out the door now.

Are we not allowed to be upset I’ve never said FAREEE Stoops. But, by hell we are allowed to be mad and frustrated.
Fans get pissed just how it goes, I’m frustrated damn right I am.

Had Liam Coen not left we'd be in fine shape. I like stoops but we need a good OL coach and a new OC.

I wouldn't leave Valentine on an island ever. He plays good at times but in this particular game he was beat a lot, whether Vandy capitalized on it or not, he was still beat.

The only reason I brought up practice, that's where the true work is getting done, or not. We don't get to see that so we would just be speculating. I give Stoops all the credit in the world when making those calls, he's proven he will do what has to be done. Brumbaugh, Elliot, Gran, he will do whatever has to be done, zero doubt from me on that.

Regarding Ole Miss starting Freshmen, I truly believe we would have already seen Goodwin get some snaps if everyone around him wasn't green. Every teams best pass rusher comes from that side on a right handed qb 75% of the time. too big of risk with a quarterback that's pretty dinged up.

My hope for the offseason is that Stoops addresses the lack of recruiting with this staff. It sounds like Settles is a good coach and great person but as much as we like to run the ball, that coach needs to be hitting solid triples, if not home runs, on the recruiting trail. I would vote for EG to take that spot over if he's interested in an assistant spot. Same with Stewart, a couple of guys on here hinted that he might be gaining some traction on the trail, if he isn't, that's another spot that may need a little more aggressive minded coach that can also recruit.

This is stockholm syndrome. Stoops has done tremendously well here but the reaction to a gut punch loss like today is not to reminisce about how terrible we were 30 years ago. There are legitimate complaints to be raised about how Stoops is managing this program right now.
Ok, let's go back one year. 10 and freaking 3! We did have to change line coach and OC. We still have a winning record. We still have a bowl game to play. Coach has bugs to work out after season. But dang guys. Joker wasn't that long ago.

Actually its fans Luke you who are too gd scared of the past that will keep our program from every reaching new heights.

We are one of soon to ge 16 schools in the most elite, powerful, rich conference In college football history. We can attract a top tier coach who won't have a team that looks like a first year coach is in charge in year 10.

No, it’s not. We were 18.5 point favorites. We barely can even score that many points against anyone.
Does anyone else remember Michigan losing to a thirty point underdog, and that isn't the only time it has happened. Football is a very unpredictable sport, it is one of the reasons it is such a great sport. We put our players in position to win that game a dozen times but never sealed the deal. NOT saying we shouldn't have easily won the game, but I think we easily beat them at least nine times out of ten. Does that mean we should overlook the game, no, it should have taught us some lessons and changes are certainly in order.
