Yes, now I remember a post about that. A very honorable homage to your grandson. Glad to hear the tree is still standing.
WC, I have never seen a tree grow like this one has! It even survived the attack of the cicadas!! I would go out and shake the tree just about every evening, we were afraid it wouldn't make it but it did!!!

Good morning all,

Sitting in my car waiting to board the fast train. Woke up at 2 AM, then 3, then 4 and just stayed up. Went to sleep after 10 but don't feel bad.

Enjoy your day and keep it simple... (Won't finish the KISS method with you all but I like that method.)

Let's see how my energy level goes by the time I get back home this evening.

At least my day is not supposed to be stupid...

I am thankful.....

Good morning and Happy Hump Day from ATX. Warm and humid.

Wishing y'all another great day.

Good morning folks.

Glad to see Kentucky snag another promising hoops recruit. How are they all going to play? Not my problem, but better than being two injuries away from the NIT…Now get Oweh away from the NBA and November will be exciting.

Busy day ahead. I’ll be glad to have the next two in the books.

Have a good one.

61° this morning with a high in the mid 80's expected for today.

Fishing was hit and miss yesterday as the report goes:

9 strikes, 4 hits, 2 errors. Warrior-Cat 2 - Large Mouth Bass 2.

A 2 1/2 pounder and one that was so small it looked like the picture below. Well, maybe not that small but pretty darn close.

Howdy folks.

Second of two grueling days, then I can coast into the weekend. Survived yesterday so I know it can be done.

Rainy and cold in the east. Ready for the sun to come back. And ready for Otega to return to the fold.

Have a good day.
Read in another post on HOB that he has until the 28th of May to make his decision.

Hello all,

Too at it today. Still have at least a couple hours of work but I am home now. Had pork chops and rice.

This one from 1961 the year I was born....

1961. Tiger Norm Cash hits .361, Roger Maris hits 61 homers, Sandy Koufax leads MLB in strikeouts,Orlando Cepeda and Roger Maris drive in 142. You picked a good year.

NL Pennant Winning Reds’ star Frank Robinson wins the MVP award. Vada Pinson hit .343. Watching those two in the outfield at Crosley when I was six years old was big fun…

Roger Maris wins the AL MVP. Injuries curtailed his effectiveness and shortened his career. I was following his career closely the two years he was a Cardinal. He seemed like a very nice guy and hated the spotlight. The talk is of his 61 homers and 2 MVP's, but he knew how to play the game and was very sound fundamentally.

Man, this is for real, "TG it's Friday..." Grueling week, which included a couple speeches to large groups I didn't feel like giving. How did they go over? Honestly, I don't really care, and I doubt anyone in the audience does either.

Lots to wrap up today, then I have every intention of taking the 3-day weekend.

Hope you all are easing into a long break.

Hello all,

Had a day, had a last couple of days.... Worked until about 2:30AM this morning, went to sleep a few hours and got up to work again until about 11AM. Then My Darling and I took off to the Navy Recreation Center in Maryland.

Met a couple real nice people I think I can partner with to actually get some good work done. We shall see...

The crab were not around accept for a couple. (We got those.)

BUT, I got a hold of this with my cast net I threw at about twenty of them schooled...

I know this first picture is kind of rough looking but the second picture will for sure tell you what it is... Yeah that is what they look like. I think a larger one is what got Steve Irwin. (I think that was his name....) Liked his shows back when... (Speared him right in the heart from what I remember.)

That Ole boy had to weigh ten pounds...

My Darling was happy. She likes those. She somehow ages the meat and cooks it and makes soups and it tastes pretty good.

It was cold though... We only stayed three or four hours.

I have a Yuengling I am nursing right now but am going to hit the shower and our HOA has a men's breakfast in the morning I thought I'd stop in to see people.

I am thankful.... I hope you all are resting well... If the Lord doesn't take me, I know I will. Good night...

Good morning folks. The long weekend is here.

Planning a trip to Arlington Cemetery today. My wife’s father is there - Korean War veteran. A few others I know, including a buddy who was a USMC Vietnam veteran turned correspondent, and a handful of soldiers/pilots I got to know who were killed in Iraq or Afghanistan.

It’s a beautiful day so far in the east. I hope all is well with everyone.

Reading today that Texas Tech softball has a P with a $1M/yr NIL. They just made it to the CWS. Plan to resign her for next season. They have a billionaire oilfields couple funding her.
