Any of the D remember Super Bowl Sunday in 1987? One of the best performances of a college basketball player I've ever seen!!
I may be wrong but that had to be the greatest defensive display in a half in Super Bowl history. Also, didn't care for the singing of the national anthem. Maybe I'm biased being a Kentuckian but Chris Stapleton's version was one of the best.

Kentucky played Navy with David Robinson 45 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks!
Oh yeah! That was an amazing performance. Thanks! Robinson was a class act.
I have never heard of this half time performer. Yes, giving myself a pat on the back.
I thought about re-grouting my bathtub during halftime but decided against it.
Well, I'm not that desperate. But, I did put it on mute and checking out the RR and the D-League.
I went channel surfing! I think that first offensive pass interference just made them mad!!! I watch one NFL game a year, tonight is it!

Leaving here at 8:30 am for a 10:30 am appointment at hospital. Hospital only 9 miles distant. Usually 40 minute drive in heavy traffic. Wife confined to wheelchair because of drugs she must take prior to procedure. Hospital under major construction. We purchased a wheelchair, as buying is cheaper than rental after 3 uses. We re-conned route Saturday. Covered walk at Seton south entrance extends roughly 1/4 mile to parking garage located on 5th floor. Good grief, what a GD hassle. Stay tuned.
Superbowl: Eagles beat-up on Chiefs rather soundly. Yikes!
Main laptop broke. Sending to Dell for service. Still under Pro Support warranty. Using 8 year-old back-up right now.

Good morning folks. Hard at work today. Monday is the most grinding of the week.
Glad to see the Eagles win, and happy it was a blow out. We're officially in the post-"Being battered with Mahomes/Reid/Kelsey/Swift" era every time we turn on the television. I don't blame any of them for vacuuming up the advertising cash, but like everything in America it is never enough until it is waaaaay tooooo mucchhhhhh. Now if only both the Mannings would go away. Liked them as players. Sick of the "gosh, golly, we're the doofus ex-quarterbacks" routine.
Hoping for a big week for the Cats. This could be a crucial six days through Saturday.

Villa Hills (Hence vhcat) - 1/2 way between DT Cincy & CVG airport. Burb sits 300-400' above OH River overlooking it (I'm not rich enough to afford the homes that do see the river.). The uninhabited steep hillside down to river is good wildlife habitat. I've run into mean turkeys while walking that caused me to back off. Yea, I'm chicken. There are nesting pairs all along the river ex near the core urban area. Just have never seen one right near here before.

@vhcat70 We get to see several bald eagles while fishing on Lake Cumberland especially in the winter. Back when I first started working for Fish & Wildlife in the 1980's I made the trip to western KY from eastern KY for work. Ballard WMA had the first eagle's nest in Ky at that time. They wouldn't even let their Avg. Joe employees get anywhere near it. But, I later got to watch an active nest at Cumberland, saw the little ones after they hatched, etc. etc.
Almost game time. Not even going to try to make a prediction on this team anymore.

Great game last night. Pope is now 8-0 (6 player/2 coach) lifetime vs Tenn. Awesome!
Good to see Md post about Butler....I haven't checked RR or any other updates about him. As for Robinson...I dealt with wrist issues this last decade....twice. Both took about 6 months to recover.....tough.
Off to the Rec Cnt to walk. I've done enough physical work lately that I'm not touching any weights....just walking. Saw some of my memories on FB. I was my strongest (for a little Ole man) 11 years ago. Now just trying to stay in shape.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Cold this morning at 13° with a wind chill factor of -16°. Brrrrr, not going anywhere today as the high will not get up above freezing and the wind blowing moderately will keep it in the teens. Tomorrow will get up around 50° so I will do the normal thing for Valentines Day, shop the day of (with respects to Ali...I'm a Baaaad Man!)

Heading into DC on the subway. I’m having lunch downtown with a friend —a guy who left a great, well-paying job in his early 60s because he wanted to travel the world with his wife while still young, only to have her tell him within a couple weeks of his retirement she wanted a divorce. But actually the guy seems to have rebounded quite well and be as happy as ever. If there is a message in his experience I sure as hell don’t want to find out what it is.
I really hope the Cats turned a corner with that stalwart team effort Tuesday. Hope is the thing with feathers, Emily Dickinson said. I had an educated buddy who used to throw that line out at appropriate moments in places like Mogadishu and Sarajevo. I never asked him what it meant and still don’t know.
