You will need a time machine.I have in my bucket list a desire to visit my ancestral home of Northern Ireland and the Southern Lowlands of Scotland. I had this trip booked but medical issues caused me to cancel everything. I was also planning to visit England, France and Belgium in the same trip.
I would like to rebook it, hopefully in the Summer of 2020
Made several business trips there plus a few days on a vacation. Kids growing up there are taught 4 languages - the 3 national ones (Flem/Dutch, Fr, & Gr) + English. Business associates spoke English fluently. And they served beer & wine in their company cafeterias. The Belgian's have their priorities in order......plenty of good beer and pigeon racing is the national sport......If I was younger I would relocate to that part of the world........beautiful country and for the most part very clean....I have a friend who lives in Diest, Belgium..............
Fantastic! Has to be some elevation there for that many stars. Friend had a cabin at 10K' in CO. Never saw so many stars.Good morning D-League
Waking up to clear, clear skies. Looking towards the Gulf gives you a great picture of the stars in the skies. We have 62° as we wait for the sun to rise. This afternoon brings a high of 86° with no chance of rain. A good day to do what you want to do.
This is the last day of September. The days keep rolling by. Trust all are well

That will be a fantastic trip. Jealousy in my bones reading that.I have in my bucket list a desire to visit my ancestral home of Northern Ireland and the Southern Lowlands of Scotland. Well, here he is:I survived my trip to the eye doctor. My dilation ended in about 8 hours. I hate that.
It is 65.5°F and partly cloudy. We are supposed to get to 85 with zero chance of rain.
I need to mow today.
Well, here he is:

Oh wait! You said need to mow not need Moe.
Yeah, I believe that whole heartedly. I have always been against those who say that they did what they did because they were mistreated when they were a child. I don't believe in that excuse myself. I have never beaten my wife or my children. Swatted them (the children) on the behind once or twice but for the main part all I needed to do was give them a looked and tell them no and that did the trick. My step father used to whip us until we had welts and such. I made a decision that I did not want to be like my father (Who died last October) or my step father. Once you hit the age (mentally) of understanding and accountability you make the choice not your past. I know some people say if that is all you have known you know no better. I can't buy that because there is plenty of information and people out there to show you a better way.
Reminds me somewhat of my grandfather, except I never knew him to be a mean drunk. He didn’t drink regularly, but when he did, he would get passed out drunk. Then he would sleep it off for several days. Last time he got drunk, he totaled his car over a steep hillside. I was about 15, and my mom ( his daughter) and I went to the emergency room where the doctor was sewing his tongue back together. He was trying to sing while laying on the table lol. I’ll never forget it long as I live. He died nearly 30 years ago, more than 15 years after his last drinkMy dad was a nice likable guy but a distant father/husband. Pretty much a loner. But he would get drunk 3-4 times a year. He didn't drink at all the rest of the time and he always brought his paycheck home before he got drunk. But when he got drunk he turned into a monster. He would beat my mother if she opened her mouth (and she often would). He would meekly pay the price next day when he sobered up. He was never abusive when sober. We would run from the house when we heard him coming. He would take his .45 with him when he left to get drunk and we knew he was coming home when we heard gunshots in the distance. I wouldn't open the door when he came home once and he threatened to shoot me.
He was the perfect negative example. What he did persuaded me to never be like him that way and I have avoided alcohol almost completely during my life.
Neither of those choices. I think we'll make a game of it but not quite getter done. Something fluky will stop us.Having been a UK football fan for nearly 70 years my blue googles got shattered a long time ago. I am expecting a trouncing Saturday. I would certainly be happy with a win but for it to be a competitive game would be encouraging. Who of you sincerely think UK will win?
Do you mean something fluky like them snapping the ball with 00:00 on the clock and scoring the winning touchdown? Something like that?Neither of those choices. I think we'll make a game of it but not quite getter done. Something fluky will stop us.
I have been to England 13 times.....I could go back 13 more times.......twice we ventured over to France/Belgium......I loved Belgium.....France was OK but the second time we went back they had a horrendous homeless problem in Paris......Belgium was clean and like others have said....the beers were delicious.....when the Director retires we will go back...........I have in my bucket list a desire to visit my ancestral home of Northern Ireland and the Southern Lowlands of Scotland. There is no reason we can't beat the Gators. I can tell you the local fans are not one bit concerned and if that attitude spreads over to the players we can take them out.Do you mean something fluky like them snapping the ball with 00:00 on the clock and scoring the winning touchdown? Another beautiful day today. Played another 27 holes. I'll play 27 more tomorrow and then take off for the weekend.
I think we can beat Florida. Why wouldn't I? Take away stupid penalties and turnovers and we can play with about anyone not named Bama, or Georgia, or...
That's what I'm saying. I feel like we have better than a punchers chance at the upset. There is no reason we can't beat the Gators. I can tell you the local fans are not one bit concerned and if that attitude spreads over to the players we can take them out.
Kentucky is usually the least respected team on the Gators schedule, although FSU may be this year, but nevertheless they have no fear of going into Commonwealth and kicking UK's butt. Most would bet their house and first wife on that. That overconfidence may back fire.
I see Sawnee as more of the TARDIS type then the DeLorean type. You will need a time machine.

Yet we have dumb and dumber people in this country dreaming of bringing socialism to our shores. If you know someone like that shake them real good and stand them on their head.

Took a selfie this morning and realized it was the first day of October. I change like the foliage during this month of the year.

Here's a really great photo taken in 1978 for the CBS 50th Anniversary. Star power contained therein could power most countries around the world. I had no idea such a pic existed until earlier this week. Note Lassie sitting next to Edith Bunker. Too awesome.
