D-League

Love it when you can undeniably start to feel autumn creep into place -

ive always heard that our olfactory sense/experiences tend to trigger feelings of nostalgia more so than any other sense we posses - I’ve never actually read up on that or looke for studies / data ....it’s / interesting....

maybe those inputs/reactions take certain neural pathways or leave behind trace materials in our physiology that connect to the nostalgia-prompts?

Looking forward to my first fall season as a Kentuckian again since — 1992

Good morning D League

Trust all are having a nice morning. The coffee is strong and extra good this morning. Things are pretty much back to normal down here. Our governor said he will never, under any circumstances shut down our state. I think he had a talk with the South Dakota governor.

Just heard on the radio we are getting 1,000 new residents every day with the vast majority from New York. They are leaving that state like rats jumping off a sinking ship. If their idiot of a governor would open the state up maybe some of these folks will stay there.

Have a nice day and I hope none of you get banned. We have had enough of that. Time for some more coffee. Y'all

Man, where you been? When ya move back?

I might hit up Lex for a day over Thanksgiving week. Be there. Aloha.

So good to see you name Bkocats. I know life is crazy and hectic. Sometimes we need to slow down and take a deep breath.

Yes Cats Illustrated is a little different now. I see one of my posting buddies got banned last night Cawood86. He is one of the good guys but banned he got. Makes me sick.

Have a great day.
So what happened to Cawood?

Welcome back, Bev. We are doing some of the NTI with grandkids, four days a week. I know your pain. Sawnee, does it seem like a coincidence that the ones getting banned are conservatives? Says a little bit about those who run the site.

Welcome back to the Bluegrass. What part of the state have you settled in?

Many of them are also coming to Tennessee. In my school alone, we have new students from Michigan, Connecticut, and New York, along with others states. There was also an article in one of our papers recently mentioning that large numbers of people from the northeast are flocking to Nashville and Knoxville in droves.

I can see why they would go to Tennessee. The taxes they pay up North would drive me out. The big problem is most of them continue to vote liberal. They mess up a New York or Michigan and then vote the same and before you know it your state is a mess.

Good luck with the ones y'all get. I hope they see the light when they get there

Good morning D, another beautiful morning here in the Berg!! Cool 61 degrees!

T- minus 8!

Heard a funny Sunday morning, a man, his wife and grandson lived with his mother. One night the dad was putting his son to bed, the little boy wanted to say his prayers, so the dad knelt down beside him and the little boy began praying really loud, GOD please give me a bicycle! The little boys dad told him, you don't have to holler while you pray, GOD is not deft, little boy answered, I know, but grandma is!!!!

Mrs. M gave me permission to go metal detecting today, a friend of mine buys houses to rent out and I am headed there this morning. I don't like to hunt when she is on vacation, but the house has someone moving in Tuesday.

Just was to praise Mrs. M, what an amazing lady! She is a head teller at the bank, a hard worker and a gentle soul!!! She helps some elderly ladies that are friends of ours, doing errands for them and when they get worried about something about their banking, she is a reassuring voice to them to tell them everything is ok! GOD gave me someone that I did not deserve, but I thank GOD he did!!!! You just don't hear of a lady that would step in and marry someone with three young children and raise them, but Mrs. M did!

Hope the D has a great day!!! Great to see you again Mrs. Bkocats!!!

Yes, that too. edit: creates neural pathways as a physiological component of your personal psychological matrix that begins in the womb.

Happened here in Az.
Heaven has gained another wildcat fan this morning. My grandmother of 90 years of age passed away and now is with the Lord. I encourage everyone to never miss the chance to hug your family.
Understood and Thanks.

Sorry for your loss and best advice ever. We are not guaranteed even the next 5 minutes of life and as we get older this is much much more important.

My condolences to you and your family.

Love your advice, but sadly too many families would rather FaceTime then actually go and visit their families today.

He was banned last night. I got an email from him and he said he tried to log on and found out he was banned. No explanation. He is conservative so he may have upset one of the mods.

We are walking on egg shells over on the political board. Since Cal and Stoops came out in favor of BLM anyone with a different opinion is in peril if they address the issue. I read my posts two or three times before I hit send but still wonder what may happen.

I have been in this situation with a cotton mouth. One of the scariest days of my life.

Get something between you and the assumed strike area no matter what it is FIRST. Then make commotion (Not waving). Used to crawl under houses for a living and some serious stories I could tell. Bernheim Forest was a serious snake encounter.

I lived on a lake in Jacksonville, Fl and one of those dudes was in my living room. We got it out with a pool skimmer.
In the past week we have had 3 snakes around our pool. My daughter has a cat that is a born killer and we turn her loose. No more snake. But I like non poisonous snakes around the house because they eat bugs, etc so I hate to see the cat kill them. But the women folks around here freak out when they see a snake. As for poison snakes, I like them in the wild a long way from my house.

They are all Cobra's to me. I am not afraid of them but I treat them ALL like Cobra's... They must go...one way or the other...

My Dad owned property on Lake Cumberland. One time in my college days me and a buddy went down for a weekend and went out on the boat. A couple of coves we went into the water was covered with water moccasins (I believe). Must have been mating season or something.

I have a 6 foot rat snake that I try and educate my neighbors not to hurt. The rat snake keeps all the field mice out of the house. They are harmless and when I see them I pet them and direct them away from where I am mowing.

However, cotton mouths are nasty snakes. They will actually follow you to continue the fight.

My cousin yesterday shot this copper head in his yard (snake shot explains the skinned portion):

Thin skinned Karens over there for sure..

I was very blessed in the fact I got to see her quite often. I had actually planned to visit her today. At 90 she still fixed Sunday night supper and I rarely missed it. I was lucky enough to give her a great grandson who she adored. Telling a 3 year old was tough. When I was there I never left without saying love you and hugging her. Wish I could have done it more time but let's be honest that wouldn't be enough either. I lost two other grandparents and it doesn't get easier and I miss all three greatly.
