I bought a laptop around 2000 that had a pinball game on it. I played a few times and then had a game where I scored over 10 million points. I thought the game must be easy. I don't think I ever scored over a million again. Everything just came together for that one game.
For a few years, between 1994 or so and 2008, I was seriously addicted to Civilization III. Once played 48 hours straight over a weekend. Still love that simulation.
I made a lot of money playing Leisure Suit Larry on night shift.
@Robcatt24 : Political thread just reminded me of someone. Do you remember "Box", the gentleman who worked as a cook at Holiday Inn - Harrogate? Is he still around? What about Bill McGaffe?
I remember that game. There was a "boss button" that pulled up a graph or pie chart.
I think they made 6 or 7 different games. He had a bunch of adventures.

- All of this Civil Unrest has me feeling depressed. Staying at home.
- The Mayor and the Chief of Police marched with the Protesters. That could be confusing for the police department. Its complicated.
- Gainesville is only 16 miles from us. Some police officers take their police cruisers home. Protesters have seeked the policemen out and burned their police cars. No arrests.

Y you need to come to the Berg and play the Peabody tournament ( I think it's still called that) they have every year. When I was still playing there were golfers from all over KY coming to play I know from Louisville BG!
I am in no way good enough to go places and play tournaments. I'm playing this weekend because I'm a member, it's close to home, and I don't have to pay an entry fee to lose.

I lost a first cousin yesterday. Leon Higginbotham. He was 1 month and 1 day short of 84. Leon was a very good athlete. He held a couple pole vault records in Kentucky for a while. He got a full scholly in basketball but Uncle Sam drafted him and he never got to play in college. At Park City High School he was a starting guard with Van Vance, the guy that did the UL games. He and Van were life long friends.

We'd probably be better off to wait later in the year now. I don't like the severe heat when I play. I try to play in the morning here. I'm not so old that I can't remember when the heat didn't slow me down. Another 10 years and I'll have to play at night.

We can always play it by ear, and if we get a forecast for 70's to lower 80's, we can schedule just a couple of days in advance, if you are flexible.
