D-League

Had a great day. Went to lunch with UK82 at Roosters. Thanks for the meal! 40 years ago we would have had more than one beer apiece, I'm thinking.

Came home with the full intention of going out to the shop to work on some wood. Came in and sat on the couch for a minute and decided a nap would be more prosperous. Knocked out 2 hours before the phone rang. It's been a while since I've taken an afternoon nap.
Had a great time!! The minutes will be sent to all D-Leaguers in a memo later this month.

Nothing wrong with a nice afternoon nap! It recharges the cells!

Arches...One of my favorite National Parks. When we were there last I was working on getting a photo of one of the arches...not the one above...and some one asked me if I got the shot I wanted. I said, "Yep, finally." A year later that particular arch collapsed. It just shows how these landscapes change...

Happy Friday D-League. Though he didn’t play I’m sure Jodie Meeks is happy to have a champion’s ring. And Jamal Magloire as well who it was good to see as an assistant last night. However tangentially he achieved it, Magloire now joins the ranks of those with a college and NBA championship ring.

Gotta grind out one more long day this week. Congrats to all you guys who have earned your retirement.

Good morning! Alexa says it's 46° here this morning heading to a high of 76°. Not bad for the last week of Spring. It would be a nice morning to sit out on the lanai and have a mug of coffee except for the fact that I don't have a lanai. I have a covered patio with no chairs. Couch coffee is good too.

Mow the grass later today when it dries out. Looking forward to that because I get to weed eat again as well. woo.

I haven't cooked anything noteworthy for quite some time. Might put in a little effort on that front tonight. No ideas yet.

I'll be at the golf course this time tomorrow for a scramble. There are two that I play in every year. This one because a good friend of mine puts it on and the other is for a company that is a client of my wife's firm. They still give out the best prizes of any scramble all year. There will be some others, but they aren't appointment viewing and will just pop up as the year goes on.

Have a good one!

Morning D! Wow 48degrees this morning here in the Berg! Global warming! I have to laugh at some of those videos, but they hurt just to watch them!! Put a couple Brisket in the oven this morning, they should be done by 12 or 1.
Well they have found the Star Trek symbol on Mars, I knew they had gone where no man has gone before!!! Ya'll have a great and safe day!!!!

  • Mornin', All. 73º in Johns Creek. Blue Sky. VFR flight rules.
  • Riot in Memphis last night.
  • Dominican Republic American deaths. I suspect poison in the liquor. Serial killer.
  • David Ortiz: In the dope business or poking someone's wife or gf. He better watch it.
  • Our Zoysia is very pretty today.
  • My Dad died in 1994. He was 73.
  • Have a good one.
  • Carry on.
  • As you were.
Mine to Mr. Don, 1994. Retired in 93 found cancer 6 weeks later, died in Nov. 94. He tried to teach me a lot, but I didn't listen close enough! I wish I had!

Good Friday morning D League

Our weather will be a copy of yesterday. Currently 72° and the high should be 83°. The skies are cloudy and we had an overnight shower and expect several more during the day. The girl on the radio said they will be scattered. The weekend should be clear.

The rain has really got my grass growing and it needs cutting before I have to use a hay baler. Today should be a good day for that. In between thunderstorms. The man on the radio just said basketball has ended. It is the middle of June why are they still playing basketball?

Headed to the kitchen for another cup of coffee. I need it. Take care all. .

I loved my pool and I loved moving away from it. The maintenance is constant.

Both of my kids have pools and I get a constant reminder of what I used to do. Their pools are salt water and is less effort than the old chlorine that I used, but leaves still fly and dirt falls from the sky! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I really would have a rough time without our pool. I swim almost every day and it is great for loosing up these old bones. Salt water is the only way to go. No chemicals and no chlorine, etc. With a chlorine pool you have to check or clean it once a week and the chlorine does a number on your skin and eyes. With salt water your skin feels much better and you only have to check or clean it every two weeks. And where I live a screen is a must. Too many night critters not to have one I never have to clean out any thing except for a chameleon or two that sneaks in. We enjoy sitting out at night and watching the colors in the sky and sipping on a cool drink. Love my pool.
