D-League

We D Leaguers are good-for-nothing.
That's fact and paid fairly good for that . . .

Bert, you paying for someone else to have it again? I remember when I had it. Then somewhere I along the way I lost it. If I had known, I would found brand new mistakes. Probably done the same things because I was in that place. You can trust the collective strength of the Paddock D-league Circle of Mensa. We know all, we see all.

I plead guilty. Thankfully the good Lord still loves me.
You got that right. That's comforting to know isn't it? The beast within is just that. Without forgiveness, no blood, no understanding, no forgiveness, I wouldn't have a chance.

I have never been around pot or any hard drugs. It was not around when I was in college and I wasn't around it in the army. I was married and just wanted to do my time and get on with a career. Fooling around with drugs was not for me. So rabbit tobacco is my smoking experience and that lasted about as long as Pat stayed in the Army.
SC My first encounter with pot was walking thru the motor pool at Fort Hood one night with some of the guys, walked by a PC and said what is that awful smell!!!! One of the guys said that's pot, you never smoked or smelled it? Nope don't do dope!!!

Now I will eat many things most people will not eat but even I have limits. No way I bite into these things. Someone said they are sold at some Walmart stores. I wouldn't know.

Man SC I wished you hadn't put this on here!!!! It's like an old song that you can't get out of your head!! Just imagine them in a skillet being fried and jumping around like a frog leg!!!![sick][roll]

Good morning D, what a beautiful morning here in the Berg, 70 with a cool breeze and sunshine!!!! I got started working on my deck Wednesday and yesterday, taking all the screws out, turning them over and just putting one screw back in just to hold them till I get everything else ready for new material!! I finished part of it last year before hip surgery and now I am feeling good enough for all the bending down to finish the rest! Our church had VBS this week, this year we had an adult class. The class went so good we decided that we would continue on with a class once a month, really looking forward to it! Ya'll have a great and safe day!!!!
Ah VBS were some of the fondest memories of childhood. Our church still has it too. When I was a boy Camp Meetings were the thing. People would schedule their vacations around the time and come from miles around. But that has changed over time and people are much too busy to take time off for a thing like that. An old Kentucky singer says it best in this song. God bless Grandpa Jones' memory.

Morning D.
Friday! No plans for tonight....yet.
Today: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before noon, then scattered rain between noon and 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Calm wind becoming west northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Ima pass on the boneless rectums...even if they are inverted.

On this date in 1884, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg applied for a patent for "flaked cereal". I never was a fan of corn flakes, but I probably ate 2 boxes of cereal a week when I was a kid. Saturday morning cartoons (in the 70's) and a big bowl of cereal... man I miss those.

We were just talking last night before our class how they don't have cartoons like they use to! BB, MM, Heckle and Jeckle. My dads favorite was San Fernando Red! I can still hear him laughing at them!!!!

Romans 5:6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.7 Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good.8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners

If I'm not the biggest sinner in the D, I'm tied with someone. Yet, God's plan of salvation let's even me into His grace.

Hey Cord what are y'all studying? In SS, we started a 4 part thing by JD Greer on the Holy Spirit. Our class teacher is probably mid 40s, lifelong Baptist, said he didn't know much about the HS. I spoke up and said that the first 35 years of my life was in the UNited Methodists Church and that we always talked alot about God and Jesus, rightfully so, but we didn't say much at all about the Holy Spirit.

I've been sort of chasing some relative scripture about the HS ever since 1982. It wasn't until 1996 that I got some insight about Jeremiah Chapter 31, verses 31-34 and how it complimated some NT Sx. I'm always looking to grow in understanding. FCC

I started weed whacking and mowing in the sunshine and barely got finished when it started to rain.

Oh well weather in Kentucky!!!!
We really need the rain down here. I would like to see 20 to 25 inches next week to fill up some of our lakes and rivers. The Withlachoochee is about 6 feet lower than normal according to the lady on the radio.

With June upon us we should start getting it so I will be patient.

Man were you in our class last night!!!!!!!!!!! That's what we talked about! We talked about how it seems like that what's preached about is the FATHER, and the SON, but rarely the HS. Our teacher is my best friend very, very intelligent in the BIBLE, same age around mid 40's(I'm not in my mid 40's he is). I think what we are going to do is set a subject, let's say GRACE then find 5 verses that pertains to that, then write who is the subject is in that verse and the situation in that verse. Does that make sense? Wish you were closer so you could set in with us here in Central City! I am really looking forward to this study!!! Right now we are looking at one night a month for a couple hours, but we'll see. He's a NAVY vet and I think his life changed after he got out of service. He told me one time that he joined the NAVY because he needed a pair of shoes! Hard life before that. Where he worked at they called him Trap, because everything that he studied and learned stayed trapped in his mind!!!!! GOD has a plan for him because he works for TVA and our plant here in Muhlenberg is shutting down. We also think he's being called to preach!!!

You and other Bible students should give a listen to my favorite Bible teacher, R C Sproul. He died a couple of years ago but his teaching ministry lives on. Here is a website with his teaching archived. You can catch some of his videos on Youtube as well.

I think when some of us post something seemingly outrageous, the assumption should be that we are just joking around. If we are serious we should let others know. And that would be seldom I think. I love the clowning around myself
Me too. I am never very serious because I am a dumb ass.

I need to use more emotivies or what ever they are called.:):)

Interesting FCC and cordmaker. Our pastor is currently in a series of Sunday morning sermons titled Breath of Fresh Air that is a study on the Holy Spirit. Our church is strong believer in the Trinity with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Breath of Fresh Air is the Holy Spirit. We believe the Trinity has been with us since creation and the HS was mentioned as early as Genesis Chapter 1 vs 2. "And the earth was without form...........And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.".. The Same Spirit of God who appeared at Pentecost like a strong wind (A Breath of Fresh Air) Glad to see you are in the Word because when all else is gone, the Word will be with us for eternity.

Home again! Picked up my wife at the airport around 1300. We took the long way home through the countryside and decided when we got in the driveway that we needed to go to the store.

Checked on the wood today and will be picking it up tomorrow. It's going to be quite a load but I've got a bunch of stuff to build. Doors will be first. I think I've decided to go with finger joints to put the door together. It's not going to be the easiest way to do it but I think it will look good. I'll glue the joints of course and also throw in some pocket screws for good measure. Hope to get started on them tomorrow when I get home with the wood.

Anyone need any fresh cedar sawdust?
