D-League

Ok I have a question. When I started to work at Dyno (scared to death especially after hearing the first test blast) when I got home that evening when I emptied my pockets, I had 6 quarters in my pocket, 2 Ky and 4 regular ones, today 14 years later I still have those 6 quarters. I have left the house probably less than 10 times without them, just feels like something wrong without them! My question is am I superstitious or is this a habit? They are getting really slick!
Both. I'm also the same way about certain things.

You might seal the quarters in plastic or something.

Enjoyed the Mermaid progrum...

The Mermaid Show is closed until April 19 as they are building a new auditorium where the show is produced. Before Disney this was one of the most popular attractions down here and it is still a huge attraction. When school is out you have to get there about 7:00 in the morning and the line goes forever. During the winter and fall it is not bad at all. This aquifer is one of the most interesting ones in the entire world and worth a visit at least once in your life. The water is 99.9% pure and you can drink it right out of the ground. Check out the little video

Habit, because you don't seem to rely on them for good fortune.

Has there ever been a #2 seed who more "experts" pick to lose in the second round than our Cats this year. 4 out of 6 CBS "experts" pick against us plus countless other so called "experts". I think we prove them wrong.

Sawnee Cat very good observation. I haven't posted in a couple of days. We sure got shrewd by CBS with a start game time as the last one on Friday night!

Hello to everyone I haven't forgot anyone. Think about all my friends and Bev keeps us all in line!
Thanks RR1 my buddy called and said he wasn't working on clearing trees today so I just finished mowing my yard! The one thing I got from working for Dyno was the safety aspect that came from working with explosives, which has be more aware of my surroundings!

Very well, thank you. Still 5'9" but after dropping 20 lbs, I weighed in at 178.5 lbs last Thursday during my checkup. It's probably ymmot's fault I quit drinking (soda-pop) and lost that weight.

Great I quit carbonated drinks about 15 years ago! There is a reason that after one your still thirsty.

Good for you! I weighed in at 180 this morning. Holding steady.

We had a good time today but most of it was cruising and listening to country music, the real kind that they play on Willie's Roadhouse. We headed out Bardstown rd toward Mt. Washington to stop at a rinky dink piddler mall. Then it was off toward Shepherdsville and on to Dixie Hwy. Ended up coming back up Bardstown rd to complete the full circle journey.

I think the same thing, every time I am at the beach. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Good morning from ATX. Currently 55°F and clear. We are in for another day of upper-70s. Our 6 months of summer hell begins in a month or so.

Happy Hump Day and Go Cats! Hoping PJ plays this weekend.

I talked to my Dad today at his winter haven in western Florida. For some reason the subject turned to his uncles (my great uncles). Man the names back then were classic Kentucky: Bluford, Virgil, Hannibal, etc..
[laughing]

Definitely an interesting era.

We'll check back later. Y'all behave.

Good morning D-League

The girl on the radio says it is 58° with a high of 71°. Chance of some morning rain coming out of the North Gulf winds may hit 30 mph which will give us a nice strong cool breeze.

Still waiting on word about P.J. We need him 100% if we are going to continue advancing. Should know something in a day or two I suppose. Or may be it has been announced and I missed it.

Take care all

When I did my ancestry search several things stood out. The first of course was families were much larger a few generations back. And the second thing was first names kept repeating generation after generation. I went back to 900 AD and noticed several names were always in the generations. John, James, William, Paul, Robert, Samuel etc. Mixed in was often an off the wall name never heard again. A few were Niegello (1300) Ninian (1400) Ichabod (1700) Zeno (1800)

Today I think some babies are being named for shock value. Even highly educated people can not pronounce some of the names used today but they are original so that counts for something. Christian names are fading out and Muslim names are becoming more and more common, That trend will probably continue for many decades to come. The times they are a changing and names are too
