D-League

Recipe for your ranch dressing please?

I'll post it tomorrow. I just finished watching the game. We were much too sloppy with the ball and at this level we can't allow backdoor cuts to the basket.

We'll bring the A game to Duke. They are young and there is no reason at all to think they are farther along than we are.

I'll probably get up at the crack of noon and have a gameday breakfast of steak and eggs. Might consume some bourbon during the game.

Have weighed in at 180.5 for the last 3 days. Gonna break through to the 170's soon I think. It's been fun seeing the progress, but I won't go any farther than 175.

Good morning D-League

Today is the day. The big one. A game like none other in the past 50 years or longer. A win will push our program to another level. A level we have not experienced. It is there for the taking Cats.

We got that rain yesterday, a big one that has brought cooler temperatures. But I was able to do a lot outside I needed to do before the big rains hit and they only lasted an hour or so. Looking outside we have clear skies.

Perfect day for a Cat to scratch a Dawg in Kentucky.

Let's join together and makes this a very special day.

Good morning from ATX. Currently a lovely 51°F this morning. We should warm to 80°F by 4 PM. Clear. Set them clocks back tonight.

Game day it is. Biggest in years. Hoping (read: praying) for a good outcome. Dawgs gonna be tough, but that's why they play the game.

Chores scheduled for this morning before the game. Must mow the yard and spend about 30 minutes on my part-time gig.

I'll check back later. Y'all behave.

Morning. Ymmot, how was the movie? FCC.

The movie was great, especially if you're a fan of Queen. In my opinion it would be a good movie if I didn't even know who Freddie Mercury was.

Here are the ingredients I used for the Ranch dressing. I didn't use any almond milk because i wanted it to be thicker for the casserole. If you're going to use it on a salad then I would use the milk. Put it in slowly until you get it to the consistency you want.

1 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
2tsp lemon juice
2tsp dried parsley
1tsp dried dill
1tsp dried chives
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

Just mix it all up together. Would be best to make it ahead of time and let it sit in the refrigerator for an hour or so. I used an immersion blender to get it all together. If you don't have one you'll need to whisk the hell out of it to get everything incorporated.

I had steak and eggs for breakfast. I think I'll make that my gameday breakfast from now on. Might need to make it a smaller steak though. Slept until 1140. That's a great way to pass the time until kickoff. Right now I'm watching Louisville get pummeled by Clemson.

Bought a turkey breast last night. i'm still going to smoke it, but I don't want to have to deal with a whole bird this year. This one is 8 pounds and that will be more than we want.

I like it getting dark early in the winter and I'm looking forward to the fallback.

This looks really tasty. I'll likely use buttermilk. Thanks!

You can still catch some Louisville football. The 4th quarter is about to start and Clemson is up 63-3. It's not as close as the score would indicate.

edit: just as I posted that UL ran back a kickoff. 63-10. Don't call it a comeback.

edit2: UL misses extry point 63-9
