This looks like my shop teacher's paddle. Woo wee that stung.

I bought an album on Tuesday and just played it today for the first time. Sounded very scratchy but had no visible scratches. I cleaned it before I played it and was sad that it sounded awful. I got a loupe and checked out the needle and sure enough there was a wad of trash on there. I took a soft bristle brush and lightly cleaned it off. Album sounded much better after that.

Here's an easy and excellent stylus cleaner.

Good morning from ATX. Currently a crisp 46°F and clear. Expecting upper-70s later today.

Happy Friday! Outstanding Wildcat athletics weekend lies before us. Go Cats!

Glad we got Wandale Robinson. Coach Stoops has transformed the entire team. Regardless of Saturdays's outcome, he deserves AP Coach of the Year.

I'll check back later. Y'all behave.

Good morning D-League

I made the coffee extra strong this morning. Starting on my third cup.

Temperature is 70 degrees and clouds are a gathering. High will be 79. Hope to get in some more work outside before rains come. They are predicted later on and will bring temperatures in the low 50's.

Working helps me release my excitement for this weekend's football game. It has been many years and few years that we have had a game of this significance. Win it and we bust the door open. We may even land a few more 4 star recruits such as Wandale Robinson. He should be a good one.

All have a nice day and GO CATS.

Happy Friday folks. The pace is about to pick up now, and last through Tuesday and beyond.

Not even sure what I want to see from the Cats tonight, beyond making some shots. Lots of energy, as well. But it won't really show us much ahead of Tuesday. It might make the fans a bit less nervous. A poor performance would give Cal one last chance to rachet up the intensity. I guess either way, after the game the team will be in count down to the season mode.

44.4°F and overcast in Smiths Grove. It rained most of the day yesterday and we netted a total of 3/4 inch here. Leaves are dropping everywhere. The wind yesterday and night before last probably ruined a pretty fall here.

Looking forward to tonight's basketball game. I am praying for the football Cats tomorrow.

Hey everybody! Been busy today getting ready for the weekend and fixing dinner for tonight.

Not going to see the game live. We had bought tickets to Bohemian Rapsody for tonight a couple of months ago. Oh well, since it's an exhibition game I'll let it slide, but any further weekend plans until April will need to be reconciled with the schedule.

For dinner we're having a chicken bacon ranch casserole with broccoli florets. Fresh mozza cheese and some kind of artisan cheddar along with a homemade ranch dressing. I made the mayo first and then added in all the stuff that makes it ranch. Turned out pretty good for my first time. I've made the mayo before and have that just the way I want it.

2 pounds of chicken, 1 pound of bacon, 2 cups of cheese, 1.5 cups of ranch, and a big head of broccoli. Very low carbs and hopefully very high taste. We'll see.

Go Cats!

I predict deliciousness. Sounds good.

It was pretty good. Could have used more salt. My wife said there was too much bacon. WTH? That one statement disqualifies her for any further food criticism. The recipe called for 8 slices of bacon. I used a pound.

Just like any casserole, soup, or stew, it will taste better when it's warmed up tomorrow for my pre-game meal.

Recipe for your ranch dressing please?

You can never have too much bacon. When we make tomato gravy we load up on the bacon.
