all you computer morons.... you can use the same function as Facebook and type @ followed by a poster's username and it sends em an alert to check something. For future reference *gay winky face*

But yes, sometimes when you have back pain that shoots down the back of your legs it's caused by sciatic nerve irritation. It usually follows the sciatic nerve path from the low back down the middle of the glutes, down the middle of the hamstrings, down the middle of the calf, and then sometimes can wrap around either the front of your foot or the back. Can be caused by a multitude of back problems or just simple nerve impingement somewhere along the nerve distribution path.

It can also be a simple pain referral pattern from muscle guarding or a trigger point, muscle strain, etc. Sometimes that can mimic sciatica.

Thanks. Gonna have it checked when I get the nerve. FCC.

@FutureCityCats , if it keeps bothering you more than a week or so or gets worse in intensity, go see a Dr. Could be many things, like I said. They may give ya a steroid pack, inject ya with steroids in back, refer ya to physical therapy, take ya into surgery and cut your wingding off just because even though it has nothing to do with back pain.... any number of treatments.

80% of the population will experience some form of chronic low back pain in their life. The trick is to just keep it from getting chronic. <--- cool little health nugget.

Been hurting since early March. I've been putting off getting it checked. Dred going down that road. But crap, it's starting to affect everything I do. Makes me grumpy FCC.

Had a car accident this morning. Had to change lanes due to road construction, and traffic stopped simultaneously as soon as I changed lances. Rear ended a pickup truck. My car is probably totaled, but you can barely tell that the truck I hit was in an accident: Just had minor damage to the bumper. Airbags didn't deploy in either vehicle.

...so naturally the woman who was in the passenger seat of the truck leaves the scene in an ambulance with a neck brace on. Touching moochers.

Best of all, I just bought this car 11 days ago. Life!!!

Sorry to hear that. People are the worst. That'll teach you to be an upstanding citizen and have insurance!

Got flipped off by a driver today with my 8 year old sitting by me. I was being just the slightest bit of an ass by honking my horn after she pulled out in front of me, I guess, but who the hell flips off someone in front of their kid? It was near the neighborhood where my work/school is, and I hope that I recognize the car coming through the car line.

Feeling a little bummed out lately, but that happens occasionally I suppose. Need something new to get into, or take up something I enjoy again.

Played around with the boys out back hitting wiffle balls off the back of the house. Now my upper body is stiff as touch. Swinging a bat is a helluva workout. Might have to set something up in the back yard this summer. Feels good to knock shit around a little bit. Don't have room for a Mav-style batting cage, though.

Luckily, one lesson that being an attorney had already taught me before today is not to skimp on your car insurance.

I mean I guess it's possible that she legitimately got hurt. But what are the odds given that their car barely even had a dent in the bumper, their airbags didn't deploy, and the driver was perfectly fine?

Sorry Norm. I was in accident that I caused a wreck in 2 months ago. Hit 2 people. I didn't total my car but I got lucky. Sorry your new wasn't as lucky. But do they know they know you're a lawyer????????

Sorry about your wreck Norm. That sucks. FWIW, 3/4 of the new cars that I have owned have been in accidents that were caused by other people.

I'm thinking about getting an umbrella policy.

that's pretty amazing, really. If someone has the time and lack of life to do that, I'd love to see it.

Be aware, however, that I've only been getting one alert per post... so if you wanna post it 909 times to give me 909 alerts, it'll have to be 909 posts.
Im just glad we dont have to wait an extra 909 minutes if we decided to do that between posts

Good news: went to bed @ 1 a.m. (early for me)
Bad news: got up @ 2 a.m. to take wifey to ER for kidney stone
Worse news: it's 7 mm in size and requires lithotripsy

Silver lining: she'll be doped up on pain meds for at least 36-48 hours :D

Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully those pain pills will make things better.

My advice would be then to go get it checked out. If you've got decent insurance the Dr may order an MRI to rule out any disc involvement, a simple x-ray should show anything else that may cause it (degenerative disc disease, spondylosis (although that usually doesn't radiate down the leg (no Pitino)), spinal stenosis, etc).

The way you're describing it, it's probably gonna get worse before it gets better.

Thanks Jason. FCC.

Just once, a long time
Ago, I
Saw a pig eating and
Onion.
Now,

Said onion was just a
Proper onion, nothing
Extraordinary
About it. Still, the pig
Ravaged the onion like it was going out of
Style.

I marveled at the
Speed in which the pig

Ate the onion.

Let me tell you.
I've never seen such an animal
Kill a vegetable like that.
Everything about it was amazing, but it was kind of

Hard to watch.
Only my sheer

Retching and losing my
Dinner, the way the pig devoured
Every last morsel of onion-y
Refreshment

Onions taste good. Has anyone tried them on hamburgers?

Found out this afternoon that my wife's termination was most likely perpetrated by a guy in HR that is a know union hater and A-hole. It turns out that many of his decistions have been overturned by abitrators. In fact, the union rep said that if it goes to arbitration, it might get overturned just because this A-hole is involved.

I'm just praying that reasonableness wins the day. Meeting between management & union tomorrow afternoon. Wife is nervous as hell the last few days (more than normal). Trying to move on with life.
