Next 4 are all LBers.
Yet we continue to try to pressure the QB with 2 and 3 290+ down linemen. Perhaps we should rethink that strategy. I'd much rather see 4 LBs on the field whose sole job is rushing the QB in obvious passing downs than 3 DL and Wright/Weaver. Neither of those guys is Josh Allen and the 3 DL put almost no pressure on the QB. And, completely forget about one of those big guys being able to chase a QB down if he flees the pocket.
And a blitz from outside once in a while or corner blitz would be a nice change of pace. I just fervently believe something has to change or MSU and TN will carve up and feast on our passive defense.
Maybe we don't stop either one of them. But, letting their QB have all day while playing off the receivers by 5+ yards is not going to work, either.
