Well, at least one of them. He's also nearly a double double guy. 19.7 ppg and 9.8 rebounds along with 1.7 steals. Not a great 3pt shooter, but is really good from the FT line.

There are two questions that will occur with any portal transfer. 1. Will they be truly good. 2. Can they overcome Cal's coaching (or lack thereof) with their past coach(s) training.

The only positive path I can imagine for Cal (who doesn't think he is the problem) is to have such overwhelming talent that they can win despite him.

That kid definitely has eye-popping rebound totals and it's said that rebound numbers generally hold true across levels of competition.

But I agree that the transfer portal should be -- until the NCAA snuffs it -- a major source of building a roster. Some teams this past season thrived and some teams evaluated poorly. But if you're looking for experience, you should definitely watch tape on the kids in the portal.
