Could Kentucky get the 3 seed, with either UNC (11 seed) or Kansas (6 seed) waiting in the 2nd round?

You know something like this is coming once Sunday rolls around. The committee finally has an excuse to put the three bluebloods together in a first weekend regional.

Does Kansas deserve a 6 seed? No.

Does UNC deserve a bid? No.

But the opportunity might be too good for the committee to pass up on. If you get Kansas/UNC in the first round followed by the winner getting Kentucky, and you can reasonably articulate a rationale behind it?

Then you have St. John's waiting as your 2 seed?

I’m curious which SEC teams they bracket us with. I can almost bet Arkansas, mainly because we only played them once and avoided them in the SEC tourney. I know that applies to several teams but the storyline will be what drives that placement. There will likely be another SEC team in there too due to at least 12 getting in. I say it will be aTm if we get placed in the west.

I know we make jokes, but this hardly ever happens, unless we're playing a low seed (like a WKU, EKU, or NKU). We played Louisville in the S16 as an 8 seed. We would have played Duke in EE last year. We did play Indiana in 2016, but other than that, no real storylines until the S16.

Lot of rivals in the mix at 6 and 11. UCLA, UL in the mix. IU and Ohio St probably out now? Haven’t been quite keeping up.

Kentucky will get BYU as their 6-seed
With St. John's waiting as the 2-seed
With how BYU's been playing recently (big win over Iowa St. yesterday) I think they'll be a 5 seed at minimum so don't think UK would play them early.

Could see UK getting matched with KU or UNC as 2nd round matchup for sure.
