Cooper Flagg

Generational and great we heard about it all night long on espn SLOBBER FEST I think somebody referred to it on here

I thought Flagg played well. Except for the turnovers down the stretch.

The bigger slobber fest was for Ken Purplenurple. Or whatever the hell is name is. Apparently a phenomenal shooter. That’s all I kept hearing. And he was 1-8 from deep. Ha!

And 5-for-20 overall. Bilas was saying "What can't he do?" Make half his shots, apparently.

Happy as hell we won. But, I really liked that Flagg kid. He didn’t come off as your typical Dook kid we have all come to dislike. Seems hard nosed at a very young age. He is the kind of kid I can root for, as long as they aren’t playing our Cats.
That is unless I missed something. Last 8 minutes of the first half was laying my son down and got back right at halftime. So maybe something happened I didn’t see.

Bilas's whole schtick is cover something less than the obvious unless it's ice cream at Rupp. Then he can't stop talking about it. That's why he focused Knueppel when everyone else was covering on Flagg.

Other than flopping everytime someone got close to him and the refs giving him the Jordan whistle, he is a very talented young man and plays hard all the time. Especially for a 17 year old.

I could never pull for a Dookie.

I agree but Coach K'sNipple flopped just like your typical Dukie.

Flagg is really good. He is easy to hate because he is a Pukie but he is legit. Much better than I thought. He was directing a lot of things last night and showed he’s the real deal with his play. I can see his potential for talk of number 1 come draft night, but it’s a long season so we will see.

I don’t know if you guys know this but he is only 17 years old. Not many talk about that so I doubt you have heard that before.

They call him nipples

Enjoyed watching him play. Kid is not only skilled, but works hard at all points of the game. Gonna be really good. Not sure I saw superstar playmaking skills. Not Magic. But, he makes the hard look easy.

Flagg was very impressive and I understand the #1 pick hype now. .. Nipple on the other hand gave me volume scorer vibes and while he is polished for his age, I don't think he has the type of talent you have to get from an elite freshman.

I would say he looks a little like Tyler Hansbrough without the crazy eyes.

Honestly though it’s ridiculous to comment on the looks of college basketball players.

I can’t stand Duke, but I appreciate watching great basketball players from either teams. Diminishing Flagg only serves to diminish our win. I know that Bilas and company were unbearable though during the Flagg documentary last night.

He is a very good player. He does do the Duke flop now and then but is much more likable than most of the Duke players from the past. He did have turnover trouble at the end when we finally turned up the defensive pressure but this is also just his 3rd college game and first against a very good team. Despite what some others say about him, I'd love to have had him playing for us at UK.

plenty of talent & plays hard

Very talented player, but not in the same league as Anthony Davis when he was a freshman, but Bilas crowned him evidently the greatest play ever.

He is an exceptional player and is still under 18. He wore down playing against Kentucky's grown men.

Uhhhhh no.
Even if he's an eagle scout who carries old ladies groceries in for them, rooting for dookies is forbidden.
That is all.

It’s a long season plenty of time for Cameron to do its thing, he could be as obnoxious as the rest by March.

I wasn't diminishing him or his looks. Dead Poets Society is one of my favorite movies.

Flagg is going to be a great player. He wore himself out keeping Duke in the game in the second half, which I might add is part of Pope's plan of playing fast and 10 players. He plans to be fresher at the end of the game with an older team. Similar to Pitino, he uses pace for many reasons, one of which is to get the advantage at the end of the game, especially against these NIL short roster teams who have little to no depth. We are not going to win them all, but feel very confident Pope will lose very few he should win!
