Three things we learned tonight.

1. We've got fighters.
2. Cooper Flagg is the real deal(but still a freshman).
3. Mark Pope is the real deal.
Even with awesome freshman, a good portion of the time they'll do dumb shit like that at the end. 2 back to back turn overs and give up an offensive board on a missed free throw. I was laughing my ass off at Schyer going back to him after he just did the freshman folly the play before.

Agree, duke was out coached tonight

And Pope is going to play who he thinks will win the game and not promised minutes like the last regime. Brilliant playing Carr at the 5 for a stretch and through him, and Oweh is an absolute stud on both ends.
He showed that before this game by playing the hot hand in Kerr over Butler most of the 2nd half last game

Life has been pumped back into BBN this year. Watch out college basketball, the CATS are back and their bringing all of BBN with them!
This! We all needed this game and proved all of our excitement for the Pope Era to be legitimate. Kentucky is back!!

Not a positive, but I’m not sure how much we can count on Robinson being a go-to guy on offense. Better to recognize it early than hope for it late.
Seeing this team find a way to win while he had an off night against a Top 10 team is a good sign of Kentucky's depth. Showed they have other dudes who can step up to the plate.

Sure am glad CF won't be there next year.
Kid is a stud. I have a feeling nipple will be one of those is seems that play 20 years at Duke and just unlikeable.

Gotta give Garrison his props too! Young fella stepped up and made some HUGE plays in the second half! The three at the top of the key was massive for momentum.

Garrison played a very good game and not to many fans pointed that out. Pope said he could shoot and that 3 he made looked very good.
Right foot barely touched the line, it was technically a 2 which is how it was recorded. Nevertheless he proved he can shoot jumpers and not just a back to the basket post player. Definitely made his presence know in the paint and got some key layups down the stretch. 4 boards with a couple of assists and blocks to go along with his impressive game. Having Brandon come off the bench when the bigs Williams and Carr are in foul trouble is much better than the options Kentucky has had coming off the bench in recent years.

Totally get that, but we need a guy we can rely on to get a bucket when we need one. Not saying others can’t, but it’s a lot easier to advance in the tourney when you have a guy you know you can rely on.

Never said UK did not need one. Pointing out Kentucky's depth to find ways to win a game with other players while someone like Robinson has an off night is the not the same as what you are implying that I said UK did not need one which isn't what I said.. It's only 3 games in, these things work themselves out. We'll know who that guy is by March. Brea was only the best 3-point shooter in the country last season and this team's leading scorer. Oweh & Carr were clutch down the stretch. Butler hit one of the biggest shots in NCAA Tournament history a few years ago and can get to the rim. Don't count out Kriisa, drilled a couple of big time 3's Tuesday night. Jaxson Robinson may have gotten his clunker out the way early. I don't think people are done with Robinson after one bad game. If there are people like that, they are making a mistake.
