Well supposedly Duke’s NIL budget is “unlimited,” so if they REALLY want to keep him, they just need to add however many zeros are needed on the check to make it happen.

CBS, the NCAA, and Nike should all consider chipping in to keep Flagg in college. He's actually great for the game, as much as I can't stand Duke.

Whether we want to admit it or not, Flagg puts eyes on the television.

Only because the people that own the network shoved him down our throats for a year. Kids really athletic. But I seen him choke too many times with the "greatest kenpom team of all time" to really sell him for me.

Probably be a mediocre NBA player simply because no one cares anymore. The love of the game was replaced by the love of money. It is no wonder we haven't had any superstars emerge lately. The faces of the league have been the same 5 dudes for 15 years. Overpaid athletes that have no real reason to be the best anymore. Just get your money and cruise. I don't blame the players completely the league and teams have done plenty to instill this mentality.

The problem is even if Duke gets him 10mil, he's still prolonging his NBA career and very likely shortening his max salary window.. which for him means he might lose a year of making 30mil or even 50mil. Not to mention if he sustains any major injury, then it could get really bad.

I also kind of agree with another poster.. his athleticism is good, not great. The NBA is going to be a little tougher when even SFs are starting to hit 6'8.

When you're this highly regarded, you can't mess around and give up years in the NBA.

Why wouldn't he???

He's is going to be the #1 pick. Unless a Duke Alum wants to give him $10 million for next season, he's gone.
you mean they didn't this season ? Hell Zion got a three million dollar house to live in and that was before NIL ever came in the picture !

"March Madness superstar Cooper Flagg"

It is quotes like that that make me happy to see Flagg and his mother out of college basketball. Good riddance is all I can say. I love that we have two TEAMS left to play in the championship game.

It still wouldn’t make sense for him. The biggest reason to go now is he’s a year closer to his second contact which likely will be a max, those are huge, like $50 million a year huge.

The other thing is the nba is best for his development. He doesn’t need another year playing against college players.
