Congrats to my favorite SEC team

Hard to say with so many key players out on both teams but , thank you !
I hear ya, but Kentucky was the better team today. Funny thing is, not having Goodson at RB probably helped us. He’s a good player, but not a good fit for our offense.

And I think Kentucky is the better team even if both are at full strength. Iowa’s flaws are big ones, QB and OC.

Whoever you had running in the second half seemed to do alright.

I can’t post on your board but I read it some earlier this month. I was surprised by your offense after reading the comments there . I thought it was supposed to be just a “run it up the middle cloud of dust” type offense. But I actually thought today it was pretty creative. IMO no one has done as good as job on our big nose tackle as your center did today. I’m really impressed with that guy .

Question for you Hawkeyes: who is your most hated team in the B1G? Mich St has taken over as the team I loathe the most.

Sucks we lost but you deserve this one. Your team is excellent and happy for Mark Stoops who is a Hawkeye to us still. Very impressed and I wish you the best going forward.
Agreed was a great game. I learned today what Iowa football is and it’s why Kentucky football plays the same damn way. Two good teams went at it today congrats on your great season and y’all are also my favorite Big Ten team

If Linderbaum isn't the top C in college, he's in the discussion. It's a pretty good compliment for Bully that he was able to deal with him as well as he did.

He’s the Remington award winner and a top 20 pick as a center. He’s a beast and (assuming he leaves) will be sorely missed.

As a Bengals fan, I agree with the previous poster who hoped he’d end up there.

Tennessee? Rocky Top makes me want to cut my ears off.

That was also me.

But we need help period across the O-Line, and Darian Kinnard is also projected somewhere in that range (last I checked).

Also, an Iowa Bengals fan?

Just reflecting on the game. Our Coach is the dean of College FB which means not much longer. Mark Stoops would be my choice if DC Phil Parker doesn't take it. Reason is how 2 guys in particular we know well, Robinson and Levis, were far superior players than they were at their previous schools. Just my observation. And Rodriguez was excellent too. Just really like your team and know you are only going to get better with your classes coming in. Hat's off. I just think it is a shame we never played before and how fun it would be to home and home. You play Louisville, we play Ames College (ISU). And put another tough even match up in there. Damn, we dance well.

Go find another Stoops.

Mark's getting a statue here and gets an automatic extension for 1 or 2 years at 7 and 10 wins a season, each with a 250k bonus respectively. And we're upgrading practically anything he asks for.

We intend to keep him here forever.

Bo Knows! We had a rule when I was a little kid, nobody was allowed to pick the Raiders. Bo was his own damn cheat code.
I had Madden '97 on the super nintendo. Loved the '88 Bengal's team, and played them quite a bit, but anytime things got serious, I went w/ the '85 Bears. At Thanksgiving this year my nephew (he's 37 now) brought up being at my mother's (his grandmother) house when he was 12 or so and me beating him unmercifully on Madden '97. Said he used to have dreams of me taunting him: "Sweetness!!! for the touchdown!" LOL

I would love a home and home with Kentucky. Won't happen I am sure but it would be good for both programs. However, we have to play ISU every damn year.
And we have to play Louisville every year which means nothing to me. I would trade them for the chance to play Iowa, a program I can respect.

I was at the game and Iowa fans were very cordial, nice and first class. Congrats on a fine season and a very tough nose entertaining opponent.

Fixed it. Thanks for posting on this thread. Agree a home and home would be great for both programs.

This thread would be remiss unless Sam LaPorta was mentioned. Dude will be the next great Iowa TE and will be in the league with Kittle, Hockenson and Fant. He was a beast for us today. Too bad we don't have QB play. Our WR's are very talented when they get some chance to catch it. Our best WR, Keegan Johnson apparently was out due to gall stones I hear. Still, we under utilize our players. See Kittle, George. Cj Beathard was there and George was hurt a lot but point stands. When healthy, he was way under utilized.

As a Bears fan, I would always pick the '85 Bears when everyone was playing with all-time teams on Madden. I believe their defense was rated 99 which made them extremely difficult to score on. Sweetness with the spin button was hard to stop.

Yeah, There were a number of times where Hawkeye WRs were wide open but thankfully for UK the QB was unable to make a good throw. And frankly for much of the day until the game-saving INT by Square, we were unable to get much of a pass rush.

The transfer portal giveth as well as taketh.

Lord knows it has helped us.
