Confidence level for Saturday at the zags?

Oddly enough, getting bully balled at Clemson is exactly what I thought would get us a loss, especially on the road. So I actually think it benefits us, makes us hungrier.

I'd think the Zags and a long road trip will not help the shots to fall.

I'll go 50/50 for the outright win, but if the shots continue not to fall, well take another tough road loss.

I'm perfectly happy beating dUKe, losing at Clemson but getting to #4 so quickly was also nice. We may not be a top 5 team right now, but we're good. So no worries.

I'm really enjoying the ride this year! Keep the faith!

GO Big Blue!

If you have less than a 5 confidence level, you are likely assuming UK shoots 25 to 28% from three again.

We make three more three last night and everyone's waking up still thinking this is potentially an Elite Eight team.

The shots were there. UK missed a number of wide-open threes they are usually going to make.

I don't understand the panic.

Hopefully it’s an up and down track meet. Not that muck it up garbage they let go on tonight. We have to get out of our funk from 3.
The 3 point funk allowed us to bring the 2's in spades those games. In Pope I trust to have the guys dialed in Saturday. I'm at a 6 for my confidence level. Need to bring the toughness to the table. I believe we will.

I have no clue .. I dont watch west coast hoops . Couldn't name a player on the Zags team . So I'd go a 5 ... lol . Hopefully we tighten the rotation , dont get Carr and Lamont in foul trouble and lay a L on the Zags .. big game for seeding in march . A win here plus a win over the Dookies will look good .

We’re Due to break out of a mini-rut.
Are we in a mini-rut or is this team not as good from 3 as people thought? In 40% of our games now we've shot less than 30% from 3. Yes, people can quote last year's shooting percentages for a lot of guys, but much of that came against worse, mid-major competition.

Dont forget the desperation, banked in 3 by the Tigers. Thats basically the diff.
My confidence in this team has not and will not waver. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. Great post SOS.

Actually, my confidence level is up slightly. Why? Because I think winning both of these games this week would have been tough. But after last night, Pope should have the team's attention the next few days. So, I think we have a solid chance to win (50/50).

I know they were "tougher" than we were last night, maybe/maybe-not aided by the refs. We also turned it over a little bit more.

But really, I think we lost because we did not shoot the ball well from 3. And that may be a reoccurring concern this year. I think Brea is the only really good 3pt shooter we have. I think (in order) Almonor, Oweh, Carr, Robinson, Chandler, Butler, Kriisa can make a decent % (Kriisa not shown us yet), but I'm not sure I would call any of them "good" from-3 (well, maybe Almonor if in the corner).

I have more confidence with the loss by that no of pts last night than had they won by the same amt. I could see they had been getting away from Coach's system the last few games trying more one on one play. This will allow Pope to get them refocused for Sat. We win. Con is 7.

8… I think Pope, staff and players use the loss as motivation to improve. Maturity and experience matter.

Out of 10 what’s everybodies confidence level at? I’m not saying anything. Kentucky can certainly win, and they can certainly lose. If the shooting stays bad and they don’t toughen up they will lose. But those things can be fixed(hopefully)
If there is some sort of illness with “flu like symptoms “ running through the team as has been discussed on another board, I’d say my confidence is either 0 or 1 depending on the scale.

After these posts I reviewed your posting history. You are a top contender for worst poster on this site . Or best troll if that makes you feel better.
That's awesome news. I would review your posts but no one cares about your posts.

I'll go with a 4/10.

The positives:
-Coming off a loss.
-Won't be as crazy of an environment
-Not sure if Gonzaga is THAT much better than Clemson

The negatives:
-We're clearly not as good as we thought we were coming into last nights game.
-Still think we have a ways to go as a team.
-Still a road game, by any other means.

Like a few have said, it’s actually higher than it was before yesterday’s game. Yes, the team has some weaknesses, but I also think they will be extremely motivated. I also think we matchup well with them.

Hopefully Pope will improve cant believe he will have back-back horrible coaching games
He didn't have a horrible coaching game. The team has been playing more and more hero ball, and like Pope said they haven't been running his system.

8 out of 10. I like the mentality of feeling like we have to prove ourselves all over again and Gonzaga will want to go up and down which our guys will revel in. Cats by 9
