Where do we stand right now in the conference standings...This yr we seem to have a good hitting team , but are very weak at shortstop and third base...

Right now there are six teams above us with better conference records. Five teams are tied with a 7-8 conference record. Vandy, UK, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State. Missouri, Tennessee and Auburn bring up the rear at 6-9. I believe the top 12 go to Hoover.

Thanks C3...So we are in pretty good shape right now , but that Missouri series probably hurts a lot...We need to string together some series wins to make things a little more comfortable

Yes we are okay for right bite. The problem is that we need to do much better than just sneak into the SEC tournament. We have to be top seven or eight to make the ncaa tournament.

Would really help if UK can bounce back with a series win on the road this weekend after a really bad series loss to Mizzou last weekend. They blew a chance to position themselves well heading into the second Hal, so now they have to play a little catch up.

Kentucky has a very favorable schedule down the stretch with series against Tennessee and Auburn, 2 of the weakest teams in the conference. Actually, AM has a sub 500 record as well

Right now as of Sunday April 20th, we are in pretty good shape. A win today over A&M, would give us a sweep of the series and put us at 10-8 in the EAST, with 12 games remaining. A loss, and we are 9-9, still pretty good.
We have 6 home SEC games, and 6 road SEC games left. Home series with Ole Miss, and Auburn. Road series at Tennessee and Georgia.
Twelve of the 14 SEC teams make the SEC tournament in Hoover Alabama, the top 4 seeds get a bye into the double-elimination round. The other 8 play a single elimination round to get to the double elem. round.
