Commit Jeremiah Dinson Got Florida Offer Tonight

Show's that this staff has a eye for talent..Every year they get a under the radar guy or two that big name schools go after late. Hope we can keep him this time.

p.s.last year I believe it was a tackle..Kelly? Not sure what his name was.
Also 2*stamps.

Not a surprise and not great news given he was considering Arkansas because of Randy Shannon who is now at UF.

Isn't it great that now we actually have recruits that the powerhouse schools want? Sounds like Stoops and company are doing it right.

Hope we can hang on, but I've not been sold on him staying this whole time. Good player.

Our second lowest rated commit in the 247Composite nonetheless.

Well in this case I believe UF Is going to flip him.
surrendering before the battle has been fought. shame on you.

Stoops has done a remarkable job in 3 recruiting classes of having incredibly few kids flip away from him after committing

Whatever..it's an opinion and I would rather be realistic than live in a dream world. Reading some of the recruiting analyst he's close to Randy Shannon and there was legitimate concern Arkansas would have flipped him. Now that Shannon has left for Florida and they have offered it's going to be very difficult to keep him. He's a Florida guy and he had been hoping for a Florida offer. Hope we do keep him but I'm not hopeful.

Stoops and company have done a great job keeping guys from flipping. But it happens and we have had players from to us and from us. We are doing big boy recruiting...finally.

He's been looking around since his commitment to UK. He's one guy that UK was hoping to hold on to but one they knew could flip if he got other offers. Check out this article from 5 days ago if you have the time. One of his quotes is telling about "going back to the drawing board". If you're solid on KY you don't go back to the drawing board. Could we keep him? Of course but this commitment is as soft as a baby's behind. I hope we can keep him but that's the reality of the situation and where I am coming from.

Now if the reports of him having offers from Florida and Auburn are not true then we will keep him because with Shannon leaving from UF, Arkansas is out of it. Let's hope those rumors of other offers are not true.

They (USC) offered about two weeks ago and are coming at me strong," Denson said. "I'm real interested in them. They had two defensive backs decommit and coach Brown came back and offered me. My interest is real good."
Denson said he last talked with Brown before USC's bowl game. He's never visited USC and plans to take an official visit, possibly January 16th. He has seen the Gamecocks on television and has an idea of how Brown and Lorenzo Ward deploy the secondary.
"They like to play five DBs and there's a good chance for me to get on the field as a freshman," he said.
Denson also has an official visit to Louisville set for January 30th. He was looking at Arkansas but that was before his recruiter Randy Shannon left for Florida. "With coach Shannon leaving, I'm just with Kentucky right now. I have to go back to the drawing board."

Ratings are great, gives you a general idea how your recruiting goes. But if a kid doesn't attend multiple camps associated with the recruiting services their rankings won't be very good. David Pollack was a 3*, Thomas Davis was a 2* and Jennings was a 2*. If a kid can play doesn't matter how many stars he has except for bragging rights on signing day. Hopefully he sticks because Stoops wants him.

So true. Overall I believe in the star system but there are also a lot of players that do do the camp tours or who have a bad day and end up being 3 star guys. Randall Cobb is our great example. I look at a combination of offer sheets and star ratings. Dinson's best offer was UK. It now appears he has offers from Auburn, UF, and Arkansas.

Rivals shows he's got two official visits lined up to Florida and Louisville in January. Hopefully he likes what the Cats are offering and won't flip.

Now Auburn.

We need all the good CB's we can get. Tiller, Harmon, and Quinn leave a lot to be desired IMO. Hoping Radolph can step it up another notch this year.

Guys, don't bank on stars next to a recruits name too much. Too many very good players go through with very few stars next to their names.
That said, congratulations to the young man and I hope he stays, we would love him here in Kentucky. Good to see that other big names show interest in our players.

Well, if you are reading his Jeremiah, remember this: Florida, Auburn. they are absolutely loaded and you will not play early.
You want some playing time, UK is your home. Then you go and smashmouth the talent fat Tigers and Gators.
YOU will be a long appreciated hero at UK. You will just be another good player there and you must get in a long line big fella.

UK BABY-WHY NOT UK?!
