Cole Spencer WKU starting left tackle transfers to Texas Tech

That is a position of need for us
Those two, plus I saw where the Tackle from Vandy did not mention us
with the reputation we have built on our O line I don't get it

WKU’s oc and online coaches went to Texas Tech. I’m sure Spencer will be a sure starter. Out of Trinity HS so he’s been well prepared for a long time

Simple. The Wolf and Saban screwed over CMS and UK royally. Wolf is known for his recruiting "prowess" which he is using against us now.

We’re getting two, possibly three, o-linemen drafted this year, but maybe the turnover at OL coach concerns some recruits. Bottom line, we’re missing Coach Schlarman in a bad way and Wolford’s shenanigans hurt us more than anything. Hoping that Yentzer being a Kentucky boy can get it rolling again and I expect he will.

Pretty simple, guys wanting to be assured they start and Stoops isn't making that promise. Guys with 1 year left aren't transferring to be depth.
Bingo … imo people are overreacting to 5th year seniors going to places they are guaranteed to start instead of UK where they will battle to possibly start. Besides, UK is unproven at LT yes, but not desperate, they can be picky and if a player like Rosenthal doesn’t come along like last year, who has true NFL talent, we have the people to focus on developing and it’s hard to judge someone in spot emergency duty for a position like LT, because that’s a tough spot

The how in the world is Bama in play. They bring back both tackle spots…Uk lost both tackle spots…UK is about as guaranteed as you’ll get

I don't see Bama working out. They lost their LT but return a ton of high 4 star and 5 star linemen. NC State has a really good shot of landing him. Some think their LT will go #1. He is def going top 5.

Who is saying they are? The kid or Bama? Bama took 31 kids in 31 counting transfers, they signed 24 this year, still in play for the kid from GA who reclassified to 22, have taken 2 from the portal, unless they are completely disregarding numbers I don't see how they have room to take him.

Here is what I've read

According to a report from 247Sports, Tyler Steen is transferring from Vanderbilt University. He will visit the University of Alabama next month. Respectable sources have also confirmed with Touchdown Alabama Magazine that the coaching staff is looking for a transfer on the offensive line. Steen, a native of Miami, Fla., started 33 games for the Commodores.

He arrived at Vanderbilt in the 2018 recruiting class from St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

Steen started 12 games at right tackle in 2019, nine games at left tackle in 2020, and 12 games as an offensive tackle in 2021.

Really hard to see how they have room and how they could need an OL transfer with the way OL flock there. But that is what it says, I stand corrected.

But after some rethinking their OL play wasn't great in 21, their RT was awful, holding goes on all the time but he was wrapping up every snap.
