Coach K's class on display yet again

Mike Krzyzewski is the kind of person that if he were to visit a children's hospital. He would get one of his flunkies to alert the media first so that they would be there with their cameras so everyone could see what a kind, wonderful man that Krzyzewski is. If there's a bigger hypocrite in sports. I Hope I never see him.
You sir are awesome. Spot on description of him. Completely agree. I do not believe a word he says.

Idk, doesnt seem clear to me. K could have just as well been reaching for the marker and they mishandled it.

To be fair though, coincidentally I just finished Cals interview podcast with him and i came here to post how I really like coach K and how even though I hate losing to them that I am so impressed with him as a coach and mentor...

Not saying that slapping a pen out of anothet persons hands changes that but it does put another light on the man.

Truthfully though, weve all done stuff in anger that we've regretted later. This seems to be a small issue.

Yeah, real difficult to tell which scenario shows someone's real character.. from an unbeknownst cell phone video or an orchestrated pod-cast with notes.

Thank god this guy doesn't have many years left. I'm impatiently awaiting his retirement. I hope coaching young freshman forces him out the door that much sooner.

Well, I'm not taking up for K at all here. I'm just going by the facts.

1. That video is far from being clear on what really happened.
2. If you listened to the Podcast with Cal you can tell they were just talking with each other and having a good time. Wasn't a interview where notes were involved. They were mainly rehashing old stories and patting each other on the back.
3. Everyone gets angry and has done something while angry they wish they hadn't.
4. Slapping a pen/clipboard out of someones hands is hardly indicative of a persons total personality.

If you want to dislike him that is your business but if you are using this video as further proof of character then I hope I am never in a position where I need a jury and you are on it.

If this was the ONLY video of something like this, fine. But in the last few years:

-Doesn't take any action after his star player starts tripping people.
-Dresses down an Oregon player.
-Throws things at his bench.
-Now this..

And for the podcast, the notes are irrelevant.. it's publicity.. it was planned (yes, even for Calipari, to be fair), most importantly it's a "show", in every sense of the word.

In defense of K, that was likely an ass grab that went awry.

Damn, that frog needs a diaper.

Coach K and Bobby Knight could use a nice ass beating imo. Them kinda dudes need to be brought back to earth sometimes with a hard fist followed by smelling salts.

Honestly, seems like this board continues to care more about Duke than any team in the country. Can't even tell what's happening in the grainy video lol.

Sure you can. Just have to be observant/intelligent enough to pick up on it.

The video posted is blurry so I don't blame anyone for not noticing, but the posted description of what happened is not exactly what really happened. After calling a timeout, a manager attempted to give Coach K his marker and white board. Coach K fumbled the hand off and the mangager picked up the marker to give it back to K. Coach K did not hit the marker out of the managers hand to pick it up again. He actually slapped the white board out of the kids hand and made him pick that up, which to me is worse.
I thought what happened isn't open for debate. No debate means no debate. It's like the number one rule of fight club.

If this wasn't K and Duke you'd all be making fun of the kid and talking about participation trophies and safe spaces. Coaches get pissed off and are mean sometimes. Is this really any worse than calling a player a "selfish m effer" on national tv.

But K and Duke still suck.
We are all now stupider for having read that.
You will be awarded no likes, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Rumor is this is when K hurt his back...trying to pick up that pen a few frames BEFORE the video begins.

I cannot BELIEVE this man threw a pen on the floor in anger. He is a total piece of shit, they should kick him out of the NCAA permanently. Kudos to you hoop-sleuths breaking the case.

He didn't throw the pen on the floor. He knocked the whiteboard it out of a poor kid's hand onto the floor. Big difference, Troll.

BINGO.
