Calipari visits, offers 2019 5-star teammates

by Chris Fisher

Kentucky coach John Calipari, along with UK assistant Tony Barbee, offered 5-star 2019 teammates Scottie Lewis and Bryan Antoine during a visit to their school Sunday, as first reported by Pat Lawless of MADE Hoops.

Lewis and Antoine play together for both The Ranney School in Eatontown, N.J. and for Team Rio on the Under Armour travel circuit.

Kentucky's John Calipari & Tony Barbee just met with Bryan Antoine & Scottie Lewis from The Ranney School (NJ)/Team Rio (NJ) and offered.

Lewis (6-5, 180) is ranked the No. 1 shooting guard and 5th overall prospect in the 2019 class while Antoine (6-4, 175) is ranked No. 8 overall and the top combo guard in 2019.

The duo took an unofficial visit to Kentucky back in early May.

The offers to Lewis and Antoine double Kentucky's output in the 2019 class, joining James Wiseman and D.J. Jeffries who picked up offers last week.

The Wildcats already have picks for both on the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Thoughts on these guys? I've never heard of them...

Glad to see Calipari is proactive on the 2019 class. He is perceived as being behind other coaches in waiting for guys to declare. It is good to see him getting on these guys sooner..

Thanks coach X11. Someone help me out. Didn't both attend Big Blue Madness last year. If you never heard of them you must not research the up coming classes! Don't take offense to that, it gives me something to do. Both are great kids. during one AAU competition they both handed their dinners to a man down on his luck lobbying with people to help feed his family.
Second and third rated guards in the 2019 top ten. I know one has more interest in UK than the other. So we might get both, one, or neither! I think they want to play together in college but that may or may not happen. Lot of time left but Cal made a good choice to offer now.

I know on Bryan’s side, it not a for sure package deal. They’d like it to work out.

Bryan’s people are supposedly really pro-UK.
