I really like this about Cal. He goes out an supports his recruits even after he's already secured a commitment. I could be wrong but I don't think a lot of other high-major coaches are doing this.

You couldn't ask for a more amicable split from a McDonald's All American than Kyle and UK. Huge fan of that dude and glad he found a spot that's a better fit for him. Both sides did just fine with that decision.

As for Murray, sounds like he's expected to land the starting PG spot. Canada is exploding with basketball talent recently.

First game for Canada is next Tuesday (7/21) against the DR. Canada won't play the US unless the teams meet in the medal round, which hopefully happens, because it would be really interesting to see Murray go up against some top college/almost NBA-level talent. The US team includes guards like Ron Baker, Malcolm Brogdan, and Romelo Trimble.

Pretty cool. It shows that much of what goes on with coaches and players (at least at UK), is much stronger than just what we see on the court and perceive in the media.

How many other coaches would hang out with a former player who left after a disaster season and has thrived elsewhere? I'll wait for some pictures...I doubt we see many.
