$500k? That's double what we paid for Anthony Davis, but I guess we'll match it if we have to.
No because we rarely if ever go against elite programs like UK for a kid. There is no reason for a school like yours to cheat. Kinda like us in football. If a kid has his hand out it is better to move on as there are too many other kids out there.Well, UK & other blue bloods aren't programs that have to be shady to suck an elite recruit in. Doubt Clemson is either, but your post implies your losing to elite schools because of shadiness. In reality...its just good sense.
Any fan of a team that kicks Louisville's arse in football is a friend of this board. You guys beat 'em like the red headed step children they are and made 'em like it.No because we rarely if ever go against elite programs like UK for a kid. We have just been on Zion for three years and he and his family like the idea of playing close to home. Again I have my doubts we will land him but we have a legit chance.
For 500k we should be able to get Barrett and Zion$500k? That's double what we paid for Anthony Davis, but I guess we'll match it if we have to.
Like what you boys did to our little chicken friends in Columbia the same night.Any fan of a team that kicks Louisville's arse in football is a friend of this board. You guys beat 'em like the red headed step children they are and made 'em like it.
I don't like going against the home team when the head coach's job likely depends on landing him, I don't think we've faired too well under such circumstances. I knew this was coming a long time ago with Zion though.
Last year, everyone was saying Shaka was on the hot seat and we lost Bamba. I know that's likely bs but that's what a lot of idiots who post here were saying. You're wanting me to look up every kid we've ever lost due to proximity from home? Hahahahaha I said "I didn't think we've faired too well under those circumstances" not that I can remember all of them..maybe it's not been as many as it seems, again lmaoWhich recruitments were under those circumstances?

I did poorly word my post though. I meant going against the home school and/or going against a coach rumored to be on the hot seat and with Clemson and Brownell it's both. I can't recall any situations like that off the top of my head, I don't like it though.
If Jedrick Wills and Garry Harris won't go to UK to be the home town heroes and go to teams like Alabama where they'll win and get national exposure, why would I expect that not to hold true in basketball? We're the Alabama of basketball (or they're the Kentucky of football, whatever). Staying home would do nothing for him but show how good he looks on a losing team. Yes, he could go the Fultz route and be a top 5 pick regardless of where he goes, but why not have fun being a winner and fighting for a national championship?
Don't get me wrong, I'd rather him go to Clemson and be harmless than go to KU or Duke, but it would make no sense. You're going to "stay home" for one more year before you're in the NBA and move across the country anyway. Go get developed by one of the best in the country and do something meaningful with your year in college with buddies like Quickley. I'm not worried by the tigers.
