Chris Livingston goes 58th

This shows what power Klutch has to get a non-draftable player actually drafted last night. This is the equivalent of getting a player like Allen Edwards or Bobby Perry drafted...

So you're telling me Cal NEVER even checked in on Chris on draft night?

I know it's his anniversary, but isn't this the greatest night of the year in UK basketball bennie minds?

Does anyone here really think Cal would be hanging around and waiting for the Mr. Irrelevant pick?

That tweet is really hypocritical.

Cal not even knowing Livingston was at the draft is a fitting addition to his off-season thus far.
Sounds like they have a wonderful relationship. I bet he "would've known he was there if he had been projected first round". Kinda like not wanting to be seen out, if your out on a date with an ugly chick!

It sounds like Livingston kept his attendance quiet from Cal. I'm sure Cal tweeted some "Good Lucks" to him but I am sure Cal was staying away from Livingston at the the request of Klutch who did not want Cal interfering...

It’s past time for Cal to step away. He has no connection with most of these kids anymore. He found out who was staying in the draft the same time we did.
Our players and teams look miserable playing for him now.
I’m ready to get back to our players having fun and myself having fun watching them.
Cal is like 💩 stuck on the side of the toilet that won’t flush.

And yet Wallace gave UK credit for his development...

Although some on here would like to believe that players never develop under Cal...

Already throwing him in the list of “he shoulda stayed 1 more year he coulda been great here” category. But getting taken as Mr Irrelevant was an option too.

Cal posted this before Livingston was drafted. Livingston was at the Barclay's Center and walked accross the stage after being drafted.

Yeah I think the miscommunication just means Chris didn't tell him. There's not a bad relationship there just a take him or leave him kind of thing from Chris's side I think.

I'm happy for him. But you can't cut it any damn closer.

And listening to his "handlers" and cutting workouts to barely hang on? Doesn't seem smart.
Just because you get drafted does not mean you are playing in the NBA- I see G league or some other place for CL in the future

I thought Livingston would've benefited by coming back to school for another but congrats to the kid for getting drafted.

Got to love we have players leaving who go as the last pick in the entire draft. Other teams players are projected 1st rounders and come back. What a joke.

Back half of the second round guys can play for bigger contracts than the front half of the second round.

There's no scale for them. They come in on 'prove it' deals and if they're good, they can negotiate bigger contracts than first rounders, either from the team who drafted them or as a 'free agent'. .
Really? Why? Second round is the second round. Nothing is guaranteed.

He would have. Probbaly, maybe played himslef into a 1st roudner. Maybe he didn't wanna compete vs what is coming in? If so, then transfer. Huge gamble.

Agree....But curious. Who was projected as a 1st rounder, and came back?

Good for Chris.
Some of y’all are pathetic. His goal was to play in the NBA. He’s there. Deal with it.
Huh? Why are people pathetic? Just questioning the decision. BTW, he hasn't reached his goal----being drafted and actually playing are not the same. Especially when you are the last pick. Nothing is guaranteed...If his goal was to get drafted, then ok....Hopefully the kid lights it up. But a huge gamble. Odds are he would have played himself much further up the board next year.

Just realize the person you are talking to is just some clown that will ALWAYS take the unpopular view just to get a rise out of people. Because there is no way someone could consistently have so many moronic opinions.

Klutch calling teams with a request to not take their client is really bizarre.

Nah not really. They have more leverage if he went undrafted. Let them choose the fit for a potential 2 way. This way they have virtually no options.

Interesting he cancelled those workouts and then they called telling people not to draft him. Sounds like they thought he had a higher draft guarantee but things changed. Probably why Livingston was in attendance too

Are those other teams players coming back to play a lot less and be benched? If so, fair comparison.

If a second round draft pick is signed, they get a 1 or 2 year guaranteed deal.

Which is often better because if you're way undervalued, you can sign that extension after one season instead of four.

They could be ass, though, and not get signed.

Get that...Was wondering why the backhalf is better than the front, of the second round?
