This electric 6-4/199 sniper has been considered a strong Tennessee lean, but there has been some recent buzz about UK becoming a player for his services. Apparently Alvin Brooks is now following him on Twitter or X, whatever they are calling it now. And now Chaz Lanier has followed Brooks back! So there must at least be some mutual interest here.
I've gotta say, this guy is perhaps the most exciting guard prospect I've seen us associated with in the portal. He puts up some big numbers and is a 44% 3 point shooter. Besides Tennessee and Kentucky, I've also seen his name associated with Maryland.
Anyone have any additional info about Lanier? I'd love to steal this dynamic sharpshooter away from Tennessee! Could you imagine the sort of numbers we could put up with Brea and Lanier out on the perimeter?
