I have said before that of the big 4 freshman, we need 3 of them to be studs. If only 2 of them are elite talents like we've seen before, we will struggle.

If 3 or even all 4 are elite, then we're cooking with gas.

The reason those kids are projected top 10 picks, is because they have potential, well, potential doesn’t do you any good in college.

Clarke and Boston were projected top 10 too, that didn’t work out so well.
Edwards is the only legit player right now, he’s the only one that can overcome Cal's crap, the others are going to struggle. Oh, they'll eventually get it, but by then, it'll be too late.

I'm just surprised y'all are still falling for this. Lucy always pulls the football. Cal is Lucy.

As I've said before, why even bother following along/posting about Kentucky Basketball if you feel like you already know that nothing will work out? I completely understand and agree with a lot of the criticisms of Cal/lack of confidence after the last few seasons, but if you're not going to hold out even a sliver of hope that the team will be any good, then why not just log off and find some other way to spend your time until Cal is gone?
At the end of the day people are free to spend their life how they please;
Just seems like it would save people a bit of misery is all.

You have never seen any of these dudes play in person, so idk how you can say this all with such confidence that Edwards is the only good one, etc., you are going off YouTube videos.

"Potential" seemed to help all sorts of kids in college, like Wall, Cousins, MKG, Davis, Knight, Fox, Monk, Bam, PJ, TyTy, SGA, Knox, etc. etc.,

It's annoying when posters only want to point how the few kids labeled with "potential" who failed in college instead of the dozens of successes we have seen from freshman.

The point is that we have zero clue if these dudes are going to be elite or not, so seeing you be so definitive when none of us truly have a clue is frustrating.

I am hoping for the best, bracing for the worst, but this is the best class we have seen since 2014 probably, the next closest being the Fox/Monk/Bam class, so that gives me hope.

I never said I know for a fact what these kids are, I'm going off what I read about them by analysts that know what they are looking at and I'm going off what I know college basketball has been since 2016. Freshmen just aren't equipped to win at this level with no veteran help.
I'm also going off what I have seen with my own two eyes the last 4 years from Cal.
Lastly, this is not the year to be young. With the covid year + transfer portal, college basketball has a bunch of teams with some serious experience.
The bottom line is, I'm simply using common sense, I don't like what I see in Calipari, I refuse to put my trust in that guy, he’s an absolute mess right now.

I think initially (summer games), it’s going to be this starting lineup:

G Wagner
G Reeves
G Edwards
F Bradshaw
F Onyenso

But I feel like Dillingham and Cyril could take Reeves and Onyenso’s spot. Defensively, that will probably be stronger. Reeves is a bit of a liability defensively. I like him coming off the bench guns blazing.

Cyril is bigger and stronger than Onyenso.

Either way, if we have that lineup Wagner, Dillingham, Reeves, Edwards, and Bradshaw get 25-30 minutes each.

Cyril and Onyenso probably split minutes at the 5 fairly evenly.

Look for Sheppard to get some minutes.

Hart and Burks fight for the scraps.

He made promises to get the freshmen here, so he can’t bring anyone in from the portal that is proven and now he's bringing in a bunch of dudes that are just transfer fodder. Get a clue, Lucy is about to yank that football away again, Charlie.

I would be surprised if Thiero doesn't play a lot next year- seems to be a very good athlete who now has a year under his belt of college basketball

If Cal modernizes his offense and can somehow get these guys to defend at a high level, maybe, but it’s a long process and when you look at our pre-con schedule and the strength of the SEC, I just don't see how a conglomerate of freshmen are going to win very.many games against legit competition. I think Cal really screwed up by mismanaging the portal.

he also had 50 TO vs 37 asst.
i would love to know his ppg vs how many points he gave up a game or was the cause of points being given up
