I think it was the right call. The ball was over his head when the DB wrapped him up. No chance of even getting close to catching it.

i don’t know why you do that anyway. you can hurt your own neck and lose leverage with your arms. a nice smack and wrap does the job and doesn’t let them get extra yardage should the launch bounce.

I don't like the targeting rule, but he broke the rule as it is written. I agree with it being a penalty to protect the players, but it should not be a disqualification.
