CBS(Gary Parrish) questioning all things UK/Cal

ANY player that feels that way doesn't deserve a scholarship in my opinion.Where is the competition to make yourself better going to come from?
I guess I'm just old school but this ME attitude from the so called elite players that are playing basketball these days just flat out sucks.
I TOTALLY AGREE!!! I was just getting ready to post something similar when I read yours. I am getting so very tired of these babies who think they are so special that everything should be given to them and that they don't have to work for something...like actually competing for playing time. If they think they are so good, they shouldn't have to worry about be recruited over.

I know this may be a new concept for some of these prima donas, but how about actually working hard during practice to EARN playing time, instead of EXPECTING it because everyone has told you how wonderful you are and you are a 5*. And how about thinking as a team instead of using practice and games as possible highlights for your mixed tape for the NBA. Get rid of the self attitude and think of what's best for the TEAM!!!

Geez, I'm sorry I went off there for a minute. Lord knows there's enough complaining, but I get so tired of these type of players and I long for the good old days. I know they are long gone, but I guess I'm old and my thinking reverts to those times.

Sorry for spoutIng some negativity, but some days are hard when I look at the state of our program and how far it has declined. It may never go back to the "good old days", but I think the program could be great again...IF changes are made, starting with the leadership and working on down to maybe even the type of players we recruit. I do love the University of Kentucky and my Wildcats.

Bullshit. You don't work for free and you won't put yourself in a bad situation when there's a better situation available to you. You're a liar.
You have 0 conception of the meaning or intent of the post, if fact your response proves the point I was making

Right is Right. Wrong is Wrong. Whether it comes from your parents or in laws, friends or foes, boss or coworkers, liberals or conservatives. Doesn’t matter. The message either has merit or it doesn’t. We’ve slipped the past few yrs no matter who says so. It’s as clear as the nose on your face. 1 NCAA win in 3-4 yrs? Gimme a break. It’s obvious & nil allows another point of emphasis & we’re screwing the pooch on that as well.

Something here is way off & I’m not sure where to direct my frustrations.

You have zero self awareness. You think a kid should come here where it's not best for him because it's what you want. Even a kids decision has to be about you. You're the epitome of Me me me, but lie to yourself and everyone else. Like I said, you're a liar.

The...."Freshmen"....don't....give.....a.....fiddler's.....d@m^.......about......Kentucky......basketball.

They don't care about wins, losses, tournaments, banners, or even Cal for that matter. They care only about "playing time."

To the freshmen, UK is simply another "league" on their path to the NBA.

Under the current HC, the former "winningest program in CBB" is now nothing more than:
  1. An 8-month halfway house for high school players to transition---from---living at home with mom---to---functional 19-year-old NBA players who can show up at practice & games on time......AND
  2. A free-of-charge display case for NBA teams to examine our players and set the draft pecking order for June each year.
The University of Kentucky Wildcat men's basketball program the greatest farm team in the history of sports.

But take heart: If we're lucky (and depending on the outcome of the NBA Finals), we could maybe entice either Bam (Miami) or Jamal (Denver) to visit Rupp Arena during a college game next year to show off an NBA championship ring.

GBB!
One of THE best posts I've seen on here. You deserve way more likes!!!!!

Basically a hand full of fans that support John Calipari over the program, non five star players and the real fans of the program. Kansas has no problem getting all the best players they can every season and aren't held hostage with five stars and the coach. So it can be done without a handful of 5 stars every season dictating how things go.
Self will target a handful of 5 stars but will not pass over a solid 4 star player waiting for those 5 stars to decide. Usually only one 5 star player gets that luxury.

They will never care about UK the way Hunter Dickinson cares about Kansas.

I just don't think a Coach can tell players all season long that he needs and intends to play them more and not follow through with it. It's like raising Your kids, don't make too many rules but the rules You do make must be inforced. He told Collins more than once that he intended to play him more but he never did. Doing that doesn't help you retain that player. I know it's said that he wanted to get closer to home, but if Collins trusted Cal more it would have been a harder decision to make. It just looks like none of our players will run through that proverbial brick wall for Cal. I am not a Cal hater at all, but there is something wrong in our program and Cal needs to fix it. I actually think he can. Will he? I have no idea!
This is one of Cals biggest problems in getting guys to stick with him, he's all over the place with his rotations and says that kind of stuff constantly with multiple players over the past 5 years that have left (Hopkins was a classic). Nothing worse that not knowing where you stand in the rotation and not being able to trust what your coach says because he rarely backs it up.

Noooooooo. Just….. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (Insert Michael Scott gif)

Feel bad for the old lady that thought that was anything close to a clever / catchy name because she has lost her ever loving mind. But GOD PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOO.

If anything that incredibly stupid name makes me want to root for Cal. It’s that bad.
