CBS(Gary Parrish) questioning all things UK/Cal

Even if a couple of three guys had come back there would still be plenty of room for a couple of great transfers a long time ago. The key was showing them how much you want them and let them know if they are one of the best five players on the roster they will start. To go this long you just have to believe that Cal has been super careful to not bring in a player that might upset his plans for the frosh coming in. Just too many good transfers.

The reason is simple, they feel as if they have been recruited over.
ANY player that feels that way doesn't deserve a scholarship in my opinion.Where is the competition to make yourself better going to come from?
I guess I'm just old school but this ME attitude from the so called elite players that are playing basketball these days just flat out sucks.

Listened to two minutes snd shut it off. Fans here are more knowledgeable about UK basketball than either of those dudes and I’m generally a Parrish fan.
Nobody and certainly Parrish and his buddy are claiming or acting like they know all things UK …they are questioning the same things that our local writers have been in that with all the NIL UK has and draft boards had our boys way down the draft boards, plus our rivals are getting guys back and sitting pretty …but why is this not happening at UK ? …Even mentioned playing in the G League as opposed to the Mecca that is UK and Lexington and they couldn’t understand it

The ME ME and ME attitude is the new normal, if you don't have it there is something wrong with you

I just don't think a Coach can tell players all season long that he needs and intends to play them more and not follow through with it. It's like raising Your kids, don't make too many rules but the rules You do make must be inforced. He told Collins more than once that he intended to play him more but he never did. Doing that doesn't help you retain that player. I know it's said that he wanted to get closer to home, but if Collins trusted Cal more it would have been a harder decision to make. It just looks like none of our players will run through that proverbial brick wall for Cal. I am not a Cal hater at all, but there is something wrong in our program and Cal needs to fix it. I actually think he can. Will he? I have no idea!

I don't buy in to the ME first and above all else mindset but it seems most of society does now and I am ok where I am.
Bullshit. You don't work for free and you won't put yourself in a bad situation when there's a better situation available to you. You're a liar.

Basically a hand full of fans that support John Calipari over the program, non five star players and the real fans of the program. Kansas has no problem getting all the best players they can every season and aren't held hostage with five stars and the coach. So it can be done without a handful of 5 stars every season dictating how things go.

The thing is..if you’re not one of Calipari’s chosen it doesn’t matter how hard you work

Would love nothing more than the Freshman take this off season as a slight and put an ass whooping on CBB next year.
The...."Freshmen"....don't....give.....a.....fiddler's.....d@m^.......about......Kentucky......basketball.

They don't care about wins, losses, tournaments, banners, or even Cal for that matter. They care only about "playing time."

To the freshmen, UK is simply another "league" on their path to the NBA.

Under the current HC, the former "winningest program in CBB" is now nothing more than:
  1. An 8-month halfway house for high school players to transition---from---living at home with mom---to---functional 19-year-old NBA players who can show up at practice & games on time......AND
  2. A free-of-charge display case for NBA teams to examine our players and set the draft pecking order for June each year.
The University of Kentucky Wildcat men's basketball program the greatest farm team in the history of sports.

But take heart: If we're lucky (and depending on the outcome of the NBA Finals), we could maybe entice either Bam (Miami) or Jamal (Denver) to visit Rupp Arena during a college game next year to show off an NBA championship ring.

GBB!
