The same sunshine pumpers of the Mark Stoops fanclub will be on here in the next few days telling us how he's the greatest ever and pointing to the Joker years as reasons to give him a pass. The truth is, he had a good plan and has recruited well. He's also developed some nice players.

However, he's benefited from a extremely down SEC east, he's had more of a commitment to football than any coach prior to him, he gets 4 bunny games a year, and he's rewarded and extended for making a bowl. Guy has a great deal and refuses to evolve to takr UK to the next level.

We could do better.

Look, at this juncture, I just don't want to lose to Louisville. After that, I don't care now. Stoops is getting exposed for being a good coordinator but not really a HC. He lacks preparation and in game poise. I appreciate what he's done. But I'd like to see a change.

I too appreciate what Stoops has done here but I’m not sure he is capable of taking the program any further. Then again, I’m not sure anyone is.
